UPDATE: I MEANT TO SAY FOR SOME AREAS (ie. Craglorn, Coldharbour, etc.) ONLY!!!

: 100% increase in damage for all overland and public dungeons NPC. 100% increase of resistance. 200% aggro range increase (3x range). NO health increase though. Nothing changes in Dungeon/Trial. (except for mudcrabs)

I mean. Overland bores me. It doesn't mean i want it changed, i would be happy for optional vet and extreme vet instances, but thats entirely different than changing how it is now

Ugh, especially no on the increased aggro range.

Sometimes I want to explore, see the sights and collect mats, and I don’t want it to be a tiresome slog. Now if some enemies and groups of enemies were more dangerous so that one would best avoid if low level and take on as a challenge at higher level, that could be fun. Places like daedric ruins should be more dangerous and require caution when exploring to not aggro all the enemies and be overhwelmed. I do feel that some enemies and especially delve bosses don’t scale nearly enough. Bosses should be able to kill all but tanks if they don’t dodge or block properly in my opinion.

I read a suggestion to offer an optional debuff that players could choose if they wanted challenge in overland. So, instead of increasing damage and defenses of overland monsters, allow players to choose a debuff of half health/damage/resistances. Then, they can go around overland feeling challenged, while the rest of us can quest, harvest mats, find treasure maps, etc. without having to take extra time to fight mobs. There are many times when I don't want to fight, but to explore.

Perhaps a buff to world bosses or dolmens is warranted or mini-bosses that provide some extra solo challenge - there are actually some of these around overland already.

But, if you want challenge, there's already PvP and trials and DLC/vet dungeons.

Open-world content is fine. It's balanced for leveling in mismatched non-set gear, minimal skill points, no cp, bad hybrid builds, played by people who are not familiar with ESO's mechanics. It is introductory content.

The open-world content is not balanced around endgame leaderboard pushers in trial gear.

I don't want to battle through 1000 mad crabs with one shot claw attack while my nice butt in tights is prancing around picking flowers or mining.

Not to mention 20 minutes of travel with the constant battle with buffed critters while trying to reach point B from point A.

Also, it would not lore-friendly. Per your idea, all villages should be long bandoned since everyone that lives there would be killed by one-shot crabs

Delve bosses, quest bosses, and special HP enemies in the overland should be stronger.
We should also have a memento that increases our damage taken by ALL NPC enemies on top of that.
This way normies only have to deal with bosses being, well, bosses.

Want harder; cut all CP in 1/2.. If they're (Devs) are not going to that, YOU run no CP in all content. easy fix.

Oh, ffs. Not this again. Weren't the two threads last week enough?

And this wouldn't make the game any more "challenging" for skilled players. They're used to dungeon mechanics, boss mechanics, etc. Even if overland mobs do more damage or have more HP, they're still in the same spawn patterns and they're still using minimal mechanics. "Pro d00ds" will sleepwalk through your 'harder' version, while the random randos who already post in chat about getting killed, will get blown right off the map. To actually make a 'challenging' vet zone or mode, you'd have to re-do the mob spawns & behavior sets.

(just like every other attempt to make things harder for the top end, it's the bottom end that gets crushed.)

Overland stuff is not rewarding besides story and graphics. Making it harder would totally tilt risk vs reward towards being ridiculous.

The only chance to do so would be an overland hard mode which is resulting in significant better loot.

Collecting mats from surveys is already a pain; no thanks! An optional personal buff / debuff with an attached reward? Sure, I'd use it.

I enjoy challenging solo content, and there are plenty of ways you can make it more difficult for yourself. Have you solo'd a four-person group dungeon using only your fists? Walked across a zone? Done a series of quests or a public dungeon wearing only a costume? Removed your CP for a week? There are lots of options to make it more of a slog without making the newer folks struggle more.

Love the increased aggro range. If we ever get a method to optionally increase difficulty, it would be amazing if this was a part of it. It's hard to be terrified of harder hitting NPC's when they barely notice you even though you are at a reasonably close distance and their friends close by don't even bother to help out once you are fighting them.

i want it to be an MMO that, as a knight in a fantasy world, feel INTIMIDATED when i walk into an unknown zone, or world-famous dangerous areas...

i dont want to go to Craglorn and sees low level casuals go node picking next to the huge daedras patrolling the land.....

No, why would I want to waste my time doing overland content like that. Just go do an arena, trial, or dungeon if you really need a challenge that badly. Overland isnt supposed to be challenging it's there so you have things to encounter while you travel the map.

Introduce Hardcore Death-mode at character creation, your character won't be ressurectable, all gear on person is lost and your character will transfer to the graveyard section of your character selection screen.

Character-slot will be open again for another character creation, however starterlevel is again at 1.

CP is so not the problem.
As an experienced player, you can typically mow through overland mobs without any CP and barely notice the difference. I regularly play in no-CP Cyrodiil, and neither overland stuff nor delve bosses provide a serious challenge; they mostly are a bit more annoying speed-bumps.
The difference is noticeable in Imperial City bosses, sure, but those are hardly the things you want to populate your run-of-the-mill Stonefalls delve with.

Would be cool if we had roving high-end spawns that appeared randomly in overland zones and moved about, attacking everyone including cities. Make it difficult, like vet trial bosses, not like current WBs or dolmens.

Like Kerafyrm in EQ, except not a one-off.
