Do you have a moment to hear the word of our lord and savior, Jee-Lar?
I really dislike those games that make "revealing armor designs" - that is what costumes are for (and I -still- wish the costumes all unequipped in combat, just like disguises. or at least some of them...)Tickets2Gunshow wrote: »Has anyone played the last couple expansions and thought, "I enjoyed it, but it's just more of the same?" Well here's one humble players opinion for what ESO needs to do to stay relevant and competitive.
Character Creation/Armor Design: So other MMORPGS like Black Desert Online, Bless Online, Final Fantasy 14, Tera: Rising, Blade and Soul, ArcheAge, and the list goes on; features more stylized character designs, including physics with the hair, breasts, and more revealing armor designs. There is NO sex appeal in ESO. None. Are we that "woke" now?...
I don't really see why not?Tickets2Gunshow wrote: »Battle Royale...

...does not sound like such a great thing. Considering how boring it would be to just go around tamriel, and how much more lag it would be for the servers to keep track of all those boats - slaughterfish exist for a reason after all, so they don't have to make their maps bigger then needed.Tickets2Gunshow wrote: »Sailing...

Personally I would not want that either.I don’t want ESO to become a highly sexualised Fortnite on Sea thanks

Don't get me wrong I like games that don't shy away from sexual themes... where its making sense.
For example, I loved the options in FallOut2, where your female characters could use their "womanly wiles" to get the kidnapper to lower the ransom demand, or play "femme fatal" and lure the steet ganger away from his buddies with promises of a "good time", and then... get the jump on him. I also loved the option that game gave to engage in "adult movies" - with the consequence of getting a reputation and the pious crime family refusing to deal with you. Actions, consequences... those are what make games great!
But sexualized where it does NOT fit, well, that is better left for "hentai" games entirely.
Its a matter of finding the right dosage. Much like with TV series - for example, "Game of Thrones" did get the right mix, "Spartacus - Blood and Sand" did not and too often added naughty scenes for no storyline reason at all, just "fanservice" and that got annoying pretty quickly I have to say...
And the same is with armor. It should look like its made to do the job of protecting its wearer, not seducing the audience like a flimsy stage costume for a raunchy play aiming to advertise "private performances" of its actors...

Agreed. I totally would want to see the very same stuff for male characters. And I don't just mean male characters in dancers silks (which can be funny in its own right), but... hey, why not a quest to rescue a prince in a skimpy outfit from his evil kidnappers that want to ravish his bod... oh, wait, we get exactly that, twice, with Stibbons! Well, except for the outfit of course, and I thought back when I first played those how fun it would have been if the daedra in question had put him into some mediaval-ish "chippendale dancer" costume...TheShadowScout wrote: »Personally I would not want that either.I don’t want ESO to become a highly sexualised Fortnite on Sea thanks

See, I would find it offensive if such options were there for female characters and not male characters. It could work if either were an option depending on the NPC I suppose. As to whether any of that would add to the game, I am skeptical.
I considered it the right amount to set the stage so to speak, show a certain mindset among the people of westeros, which then lessened as things got more... complicated. And people were getting more into war then love.Even GoT, as good as the first seasons were, went overboard with the “sexposition” — why have two characters simply talking if you can have some *** in the background? Now, I am no prude, but it was a bit much, and exclusively to appeal to a certain male demographic.
Agreed.More options and actions and consequences in quests and NPC interactions would certainly be welcome though!
