Dear ZOS,

I have a question for you. Earlier this year you cancelled an event I love to participate in, the Midyear Mayhem Event due to game performance regarding the Activity Finder.

In light of our ongoing work to improve game performance and the Activity Finder, we are holding the Midyear Mayhem event until next year to ensure that the player experience is a good one. In its place, we are moving forward the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood Celebration Event, which will run from July 2 to July 15, and will give players the chance to earn the Event Tickets needed to start the Onyx Indrik mount evolution.

In the current situation you know that the server/performance on PC-EU is the worst it has ever been. Instead you let the Witches Festival, F2P Event and Undaunted Celebration happen. I really want to know the difference, as a not working Activity Finder doesn't affect Cyrodiil and was a 'invalid' reason to cancel the Midyear Mayhem.

This means that many of us missed out on a fun opportunity in PvP to have a good time, which we don't get often. Now with all these events Cyrodiil becomes even worse then it is. Doors not opening, endless loading screens combined with the bad performance at prime time.

I also want to ask you why we can suddenly port while in Combat. Is this because in South Elsweyr Dragons got you permanently in combat? Cyrodiil has been struggling with this problem for like a year, why is it suddenly fixed? Is it really because it came to attention due to a newly released PvE zone?

We PvP players have many of these questions, we are left in the dark. The Roadmap for performance doesn't promise us anything, the first big chance you made, made it worse. I had hope and trust in you for years, but it's about to fade. I would like for you to step up and be more open about why PvP doesn't get the treatment it deserves for all these years. Should I stay and have hope?

i agree thy are not communicating what is wrong and why thy just hope it will get better thy should stop adding new jung to the crown store and actually fix the game

Midyear Mayhem was canceled because its the only event that requires Groupfinder. Because Midyear Mayhem requires Battlegrounds which require Groupfinder (and the BG Groupfinder at the time wasn't starting games and hammering folks with deserter penalties.)

Part of the issue is that the activity finder is actually integral to Midyear Mayhem, as it’s the only way to do Battlegrounds. ZOS made BGs a required part of MM by putting in a BG-only achievement (Medal Mayhem). So it wouldn’t be possible to do that part of the event without the activity finder, even if we could do the Cyro and IC parts (albeit with much lag, one assumes). ZOS didn’t seem to want to offer 2/3rds of an event, so the whole thing was cut.

They were hoping to fix a lot of LFG issues with this rewrite, but it sounds like BGs are still having issues, if forum reports are anything to go by.

I completely understand that BG's were affected. Midyear Mayhem has a large impact on Players as they enjoy this event in Cyrodiil. That's why I made the statement.

Also will the event be turned back on or is that? I managed to get 3 tickets before the server rolled over and died, I bought a berry. Do I get to keep that berry? So many questions.
