Can these opal style drop from the vendors mystery coffer as they do with the standard shoulder outfit styles? If so they are likely to be tradable I’m guessing.

I see it basically as buying something ugly for the sake of buying it, to have a collection. A collection that one will never use. Also it is ZOS exploiting the hell out of FOMO (fear of missing out) and using psychological tricks to force people to buy event tickets for RL cash. I knew it, the moment they added event tickets to the cash shop & 12 cap on event tickets in your inventory.

My advise: It is not worth it. No one will say or point fingers at ppl "oh, you dont have all of them, you s**k etc."

I totally agree it is not worth it. That's what I was trying to say, but it might not have been clear.

I do think some of the weapons look great - particularly the Ilambris opal staff and bow. But the helms and shoulders are largely ugly and I wouldn't use them.

Engine Guardian is the only armor I could see myself using. Agreed that some of the weapons look petty good.

I think the healthiest way to go about this event is to pick your battles. I already have the one item I wanted (Ilambris staff) so I'm quite satisfied.

This is cosmetic-only stuff. You won't get a Master Writ calling for opal styles, so it doesn't affect your game other than visually. So nobody needs it, and having multiple options - especially ones that don't involve real-life money - is OK with me. I don't care about the price of something I'm not buying.

This entire event was a trainwreck.
3-4 days for the 50-key shoulders on top of the 5 tickets per weapon style. This event is not suited for such a short timeframe. An event like this would have been way better off being one of the two-weekers.

Not that it matters if they're cancelling it anyway.

These should be decreased to 10 Keys for each at least. Not everyone has hundreds of undaunted keys. Most of the end game players stop doing pledges after they got their items&achievements so this is nonsense.

You can look at the Big picture, earn the stuff you can at this event this year.... which will cost you $0....

And get some more stuff NEXT year.... at an event that Maybe.... just Maybe.... after a year of work will actually have Some of the bugs removed.

If you have some NEED to own absolutely everything - I have a hard time sympathizing with your expenditure of money. I am NOT criticizing you spending your money wherever you please, just saying I don't wanna hear your complaints after you spend it. No one put a gun to your head, so to speak.

Cool story.

I was trying to point out the absurdity of the way this was set up but I guess that wasn't clear. I didn't plan on trying to chase all of these and have no intention of spending any crowns on these style pieces.

It may be irrelevant now that the event has been canceled, but there's also no guarantee of the the style pieces returning next year. This has happened for events like the witches festival, but it doesn't look like the frostvault pets from last year's undaunted event are coming back.

I'm actually fine with the cost.

Don't think of this as like the other events where you have to complete everything.

This is unique in the sense it is not, and should not be met with the mindset of completing it all in one cycle.

It will incentivise people to collect keys throughout the year for this event.

Price: 400k in guildstore. Meanwhile prices for the few remaining styles are 700k to 1.3 mio.

I got the opal ilambris bow too, for "just" 200k. Obviously sold before the interruption was announced. Maybe the best style (had the non-opal already from crownstore, the flames look great, and the opal style makes them look mystic. Just Sillistrix has a similar nice flame-effect).

I actually sell engine guardian opal daggers on xbox EU in mournhold.
They look nice and I fight with me if I shall consume it myself, but have the ilambris swords already and love those more.

Like the staff shown before, it illuminates the environment, you just don't see it here as it is daytime. I like the vibrant blue colour.

Fortunately I don’t care about collecting style or motif pages. The day I stopped caring was the day they started charging 1200 crowns for a single character’s extra outfit slot. Since then the entire outfit system has been dead to me.
