These comments serve a bigger purpose than you figured. It just helps my purpose as to why I think it's wise we get one.

If there was a reputation system, going on the "wonderful" replies you've made in your multiple threads, I'd be avoiding the pointless biased poll making spamming troll who isn't in any way interested in discussion or debate, but continues to post bait on a public forum. Everyone else is supposed to relax, its a thread on a game, silly, except you, apparently. You get to be condescending and dismissive. Amazing how the devs provided and Ignore function, here on the forums and in the game.

There is already a perfectly fine rating system in the game. If I don't like what a player is doing they go on my ignore list. It is a pass/fail system that every player can modify to meet their own needs.

Beyond that it seems kind of pointless other than for role playing and if that is done correct you don't need a title to let the others know your reputation. The reputation can't be related to how we act in regards to the game. To much of the content is locked behind bad behavior from your character. My healer will kill things just because they are standing near a flower she wants.
That leaves us with using it to judge how we act with other players. So if I send 15 people the materials they needed to finish a writ but also dropped the f-bomb in zone chat a few times where do I stand reputation wise? Do I get a bad reputation because I live in a rural area and during storms the power drops making it appear I bailed on a pledge? What keeps me from manipulating the system by doing good things with a few close guild mates so I can act like an a$$ to complete strangers and still get a decent reputation? If someone is trying to sell something way over market value in zone chat and I call them out on it is that a bad thing or a good thing? If I already have an inferno staff I get another and someone in the trial group needs it do I get punished if I keep it for a 2nd character? Do I get rewarded if I give it away? If I do get rewarded for giving it away doesn't the reputation system then rely on RNG?

And the big question. If I have a reputation for never sharing my drops what keeps people that I form random groups with from kicking me in favor of someone who is likely to share drops? As you have said there would be no player input how does the game separate from a fake tank and a player new to tanking that just isn't good at it yet? What happens when the player actually trying to tank gets a bad reputation and nobody will group with him as a tank? If players can make decisions that affect other players based on a rating system that system will be abused.

You don't have to look any further than the biased, one-sided poll options to realise why this would be a bad idea. It would be abused by those who couldn't see beyond their own prejudices.

Everyone complaining about the person across from them. Alright? Fine. But if not, you can agree that we are atleast paranoid about who or what they are. Yeeaah there we gooo

Here is my suggestion and it is really quite simple. It's just a matter of actually creating this system as a Developer with, obviously, some modifications and their own personal features

Earn or Lose Points based on your group/player activity and actions in game.

Grants players a better understanding of who they play with, socialize and interact with and (maybe) who they are trading.

Offers rewards and titles, new achievements, and more interesting junk based on your points/reputation.

Players will have a symbol alongside there name based on there Reputation Rank. Are they Goodhearted? A Troll? Charitable? Evil? Theives? How about a bit of both?

This is an MMORPG. An open world concept of online gameplay. It's time to start making Titles and Ranks that actually mean something for the Community - everyone. Not divided mission accomplishers. This is a crucial, daily and consistent concern that has significantly impacted our community. Our little society needs a bit more "security".

It's time that you ACCEPT the fact that you can not filter out every scammer, every troll or every clown or loser you may dislike. You can not control other player behaviour but they control their own just like you.

It's time to OWN it. Own what you are. Don't like it? Do some community work, make me like you again

I can not support something that doesn't know the difference between then and than.

Not trying to antagonize or insult anyone. Sorry you feel that way. And I hope you can see I did not call your poll biased specifically. Although you can probably agree that without a "No" it does seem biased.

Thing is, sometimes ideas are just bad. Mostly because a person forgot about something. In this case, the forms of abuse that would come with such a system.

Do not take these replies personally. Just because an idea is found to be bad, it does not mean players are trying to be mean. I've posted bad ideas in the past, on other games, and it does feel bad when you are shot down. Don't let it get to you. For all you know, your next idea(s) may have an expansion based upon it. That is the thing with ideas, they can go either way.

Just game on, and have fun in game!

Why did you post your poll if you weren't ready to debate your ideas. Don't propose massively controversial changes to major aspects of the game if you're not ready for people to tell you why they think it's a bad idea.

As a matter of record: not including a "no" response in your polls is a very biased approach. It literally defeats the purpose of a poll. No, it is not the same as "no response", which could mean that people simply never clicked on your thread and have no idea what you're poll is about.

The basic initial idea has its merits, so its not inherently a terrible idea.

But then i saw some of the OP's latter replies, and this kind of idea should never be spearheaded by that kind of attitude.
