Maintenance for the week of April 6:

My apologies to complainers I've mocked. Zeni, what are you doing?!

@Evenio What I see and what I posted...Is I want this game to succeed. I honestly do. But subs aren't even started yet and they are losing quite a bit of players even before the subs start.

This game has the potential to be that one MMO that succeeds where so many failed. It doesn't have to go F2P if the company just sees what they are doing wrong and why they are losing subs before the subs even started.

And if this game does not succeed, then it lays in Zenimax's hands. Because like another company...they did not listen to their player base.

But most here want it to succeed or at one time had high hopes that it would succeed and be THAT MMO.

There's a difference between simply being upset, and giving the devs some shallow ultimatum, like your sole subscription is necessary to the survival of the game.

You're really not that important. If you quit, nobody will mourn your loss. There's no need to announce it to the world.

I want it to succeed also, just very angry with what has happened.. This bug that stops progression is just the last straw.. Even so.. I'm giving them a week.. Cause i want to have faith that they care.. I dunno.. A week lost for years gained.. I guess.. But i can't see myself going past that.. and if a progression stop bug happens again.. I'll probably be done. So tired of it, ya know? 1 after another.. I want to play this, i want it to be great.. but stop letting this happen.. maybe the next fix should remove the link between main story and progression.. and put it rather for level.. I dunno.. just.. i dunno..

Thanks for telling me i'm not important.. That's helpful..

I was stating what was on my mind, I couldn't give to *** what they think about me so long as they fix what is a critical mistake in the game. Would you rather NOBODY reported anything? That we all just said.. meh.. no worries.. like that would motivate them to do anything.. As it stands a lot of people are quitting which can only hurt the game for you and me.. maybe they should read forums.. listen to people.. address the frustration.. read my comment and others and realize, hey.. we dropped the ball here.. I mean.. every customer is important! that mind set makes for good business.. if they had your mindset then the game would fail.. prly why your not in customer service.. and if you are.. i pitty the customers.. So seriously bro.. Stop trolling, or at the least.. being rude without cause.. I didn't say *** to you and i have every right to be frustrated with all these bugs and the progression stops and skills not upgrading, etc..

Anyhow, that is all i have to say to you.

Not to defend them in a they are just the greatest company in the world, but I will give them time. I seem to hold on a lot longer to hope than some. I can hold out and continue to give my likes and dislikes until fall or IF (like granny always said if is such a big word for two small letters) they go f2p. Fall is when there will be an expansion to another MMO I played for awhile. Even though I hated the community so much, my fiancé and I did enjoy our adventures together there.

If they go F2P..well I will fear it will be solely P2W, in which I will not tolerate no matter how much I love a game. I do not consider a horse P2W to be honest but cosmetic or fluff.

But I will give them time to try and fix this badly hurting game. With so many issues I am realistic it won't happen in a patch or two...or even 5. There is a lot wrong and broken in the game. But time I will give them. Because I do love everything they were trying to do and can still do.

I am really afraid they are not listening. There is a severe lack of communication about these game breaking problems, let alone improvement suggestions. This behavior feels very oldschool, in a bad way. Nowadays most companies have better community management.

On the other hand, i have the feeling that they are really trying to improve.
e.g. patches every week, fast change of the proposed maintenance windows, etc. but these are drowned in a sea of problems.

I'm right there with you on P2W.. Instant quit if that ever happens. I do hope they fix the progression stops and skill related stuff very soon though.. that is game-breaking.

I will disagree on nowadays companies have better community management..Sims 3, among other games made by this company will of course answer your questions if you can understand their letters or chats because most of their customer service is across seas and has broken English (I don't know any other language so this is me).

They pretend to listen, but they actually do not. It is all about money.

I took a glance at their jobs available..Seems they need quite a few positions filled in Zenimax. This could hurt the response time between customers and broken game fixes. I do try to look both ways when I am not so angry I could spit nails..lol.

Then it could be we just slapped over 300 dollars into this game and I don't want to think..Oh great I just bought GW 2 all over (Yeah wasted crazy money there..stupid me).

But when it comes down to it. I really like the aspects of what this game could be. I love being what I want in a character. I absolutely hate cookie cutter characters. My main is a wood elf mage. She is a dark summoner that uses the pets (clannfear and twilight-heals-), the armor, and the ultima skill. The rest is bow (I just love hunters/rangers/bowers whatever you desire to call them). Then she has leather armor. I stat her the way it works for me and she does pretty darn good and she wasn't set up by some cookie cutter sheet. She is usually the last one standing in a group if I don't mess up by not paying attention.

I love the world is so beautiful it makes astounding desktop pictures (And I was a 3D artist that made stunning desktop pictures). I love if I get fed up with questing I can just explore and find things. So much I love. So I will hold on as long as I can.

Hoping that Zenimax can pull this game up to where it should be and not where it is at now.

Actually... I unsubbed because of the game, not because of the Customer Support. Hands down ESO has had the best customer support I've ever encountered. Sometimes when volume is low you can actually chat with them in game about an issue or, barring that, they'll actually call you which I've never had a game company do... ever. It wasn't even offered, nor was GM chat most of the time.

But... the game is flawed. Features poorly implemented (Bank space & Guild store functionality). Research is so linear and anemic it's painful - all crafting utterly useless until - perhaps - the endgame. There is zero wiggle room to make your character Unique in the setting.
And their forums... Pretty much the utmost worst game forum I've ever seen.

And they're not about to ask people why they quit. They don't care, they just close any threads people open to explain why (such posts that are intelligently composed and are not flames or flame-bait).

So... I'll go back to D3, GW2 (with it's properly implemented craft system and minimal but useful 'auction' house), and WoT. Eve Online does it best, but I'm not going back to that job.

And... the bugs didn't run me away, no. I had very few bug issues. Gold spammers glutting my inbox were even a mere trifle annoyance. But being forced to fill my character slots with mules and half of my time juggling materials... yeah, game killer. Leaving it to the mod community to make things functional (Thank you, Minion & Mod coders!)... yeah, game killer.
Life is like a pack of wolves -

If you don't face it head on it'll come at you from all sides and rip your throat out.

@Nacht yeah i did get a call.. dropped twice .. 10 minutes for call back first time.. no call back 2nd time.. just an email saying sorry for call drops, moved it up the ladder.. get back to you when we hear more !??!? then i got a message in game after i sent a reply saying no no no, reset quest or something, what do you mean you'll get back to me, you didn't tell me anything.. how long?? Could of called me back.. GM whispered me in game and we talked but he couldn't give me details beyond we are working on a fix and this is a much larger problem so a simple quest reset won't work.. this is a number 1 priority.. No ETA. Apologized to me, but.. i dunno.. huge frustration when you can't progress or do anything but watch the grass grow.. Knowing that it could take a long time to fix.. and if it does fix.. who's to say it fixes your version of that problem perfectly.. like the main story could come back in the next fix.. but who's to say my soul magic will level up, as i finished that main story in coldharbour.. no credit.. soul magic didn't level to 6 like it should have.. main story isn't even listed in log.. Other people have soul 6 main story but can't progress in it.. so there are some versions, depending on level, and etc.. I dunno.. it sounds complicated so i just hope there is some kind of general fix.. Customer support answers you, but it is rarely helpful beyond we are working on it.. At least for past bugs i've reported.. I dunno.. At least they called me.. I did like that for a change.. this time.. At least i found out i wasn't alone and got to talk to a human being.. I much prefer that over "we sent it to the high elves" Lol. So i am thankful for that.. just frustrated that i have to deal with this.. and patience is going down day by day..

I almost want to research to see if i've lost credit for past quests.. lost credit for lore found achievements, titles, skillpoints, etc.. if main story can be so bug'd.. what about past history and completed content? God that is a scary thought.. Imagine if you respect and loose level'd skill progress and some skillpoints..

I know.. I should stop while i'm ahead.. Give myself ESO nightmares, lol..

Same here. I flamed whiners and doom sayers claiming the game is f2p but after these 2 weeks of free month...man, I'm gonna join their club. I'm sorry, this game is just not worth a sub.

@Nacht No offense meant, but i think quitting/unsubbing because you dont like the game is less of a problem than people who like the game quitting or thinking about quitting because of the issues.

There always will be a portion of players disagreeing on systems in a game.
A perfect example would be the crafting/mule/bank space issue, at first i thought it is complete *** with the limited space.
But thinking about it i came to the conclusion it is just the way crafting is limited here. In other games it is hardcapped, you can only learn X professions. Here it is kind of softcapped, if you want to do everything at once you can. You just have to invest som extra effort. If you restrict yourself to say Clothier and enchanting, there is no space problem.

@Chomag Silly me I paid for a 60 day game card, guild website funding, voice 'servers' funding, and the game.. Thinking it would be amazing and nothing game-breaking would happen..

Sigh... I hope they fix it.. *prays to the gods of old and new* Lol.

@thegamekittenub17_ESO *wakes up in a cold sweat* "Nooooo!" Lol..

In all seriousness though.. I really do hope nothing else has been effected without my knowledge.. Gah! 4am.. dang... Well.. Time for me to catch a nap or something...

No, I'm not even counting bugs when I say the game is terrible. Bugs get fixed, I'm talking about the general game mechanics and systems being terrible.

I agree with this to a point. I do woodworking, leather (ya kill dem crabs and wolfies) and cooking. I can just forget everything else for the time being. I had to stop enchanting because I never had space ...ever. I have two horses (Imperial and store horse). I stopped using my fast horse (Imperial) and just started feeding the store one for bag space. Never enough ROOM. I don't collect for my alts that wait for their turn in the world. NO room. With the bank problem and the extremely stupid amount of gold they want for space...well good luck alts. Hope you find what you need. Ya, I am the main, but with a no go on transferring any large sum of gold between alts and the crazy I might not have anything/gold in bank because the bank decides I never exist..well yeah good luck to you alts!

7:28 am forgive my spelling. I am tired but insomnia has other ideas. But with just three crafting on my main it takes all bank space..XD.

IF I quit it because the game flopped big time and became too much a headache instead of fun or it became P2W/F2P. Not because I hated the game.

Thanks for posting OP. Many people have posted on this forum and been labelled whiners with unreasonable expectations, whereas the fact is, they simply wanted Zenimax to act in a decent and logical manner. Yes, there are those that just constantly moan - about everything, but the level of customer service in this game is a real issue.

I do give a wry smile that many who were staunch defenders of Zenimax, luckily never having experienced the CS department in action, soon change their tune when they are subjected to it. I can understand that it is hard to believe that any company treats its customers the way Zenimax does; it is a rude awakening when you experience it first hand.

This is a great game, and I would continue to play it for some time in the future, but Zenimax need to get their act together, and soon.

The MMO market is a dog-eat-dog industry. You fail and all your money and all your time will have to cater to a f2p/p2w MMO. Developers should do their homework better before releasing games.

It really is the matter of whom screwed up. The devs or the company higher ups that pushed and pushed to release an unfinished game. Even if the devs did their homework and said this game is no where near ready for launch. Higher ups can overwrite that and force release...>.> Just saying.

I played WoW since vanilla and the game never lost any the thousands (yes, thousands) of items in my bank or my bags. Pretty basic game mechanic is you don't lose player items.
