This HAS NOTHING to do with laziness but about improving a UI that could simply be better.

Or maybe you are talking about ZOS that can't take 5 minutes to sort the styles by alphabetical order.

Even a search function would do.

I agree that it would be great if we had some sort of search feature for styles. We can pretty much assume that list will continue to grow.

Here I came expecting it was bugged and had a chuckle, but since I don't have most style it will be like 70 clicks for me

Not everything you craft is a contract (writ), several times you craft complete sets or individual pieces for you or others, and so no addon can craft there.

And even talking about writs, you can't accept more than one writ of the same type (ie: blacksmithing), so, unless you go and come back from the vouchers NPC constantly, you have to manually craft those writs since addons can't craft writs that you didn't accept as a quest.

I know you know, but again I add that only PC has addons.

WritWorthy can craft all the master writs you have in your inventory (can do bank as well, but I don't do that), then you just turn them all in one at a time at the station. You don't accept "open" them beforehand, just when you get to Rolls.

Saves an enormous amount of time.

If you're on PC, you can use Dolgubon's Lazy Set Crafter to avoid all the clicking as well to make non-Master writ items. That add-on has drop down menus.

(I completely agree with your premise that there are too many "clicks" to scroll through the crafting menu though, not arguing that in the least, but PC at least has add-ons to alleviate the issue nearly completely)

I applaude your experimental procedure and appreciate the information! I play with a controller and gamepad UI so there's less clicking invoved, since we can navigate type of weapon/mats/styles etc., with the joystick, but it still takes time for options towards the end for sure.

So your're saying it takes too much time... And you arrived at this conclusion by wasting more time to sit there and count the clicks? Sound about right.

try to grab the farthest style on the right and swipe it left really fast you can reach the end of the list in 2-3 swipes

also yes the crafting system needs a search by text bar not just one from an addon

How can I ask for a revamp of the UI if I don't SPEND time (remove "waste") testing to provide proof? My God!

Oh, hmmm. Must be a setting in there I missed then? In fact, I noticed today that WW isn't wanting to auto craft my jewelry writs.... I didn't know about Lazy Set Crafter - gonna have to check that one out for sure. Thank you!

Holy cow! That's worst than straight clicking.

There are 76 crafting motifs in total (maybe you are showing only the styles you know).

I dunno, i unchecked Have Knowledge so it showed all styles.

Nvm, had to uncheck mats too. Still only counted 73 styles. Could have miscounted though, i hate numbers.

For the fun you are right. But does this really need improvement ? And killing a boss requires multiple people to click like 200 times each. To much interaction with the game ?

Maybe you should consider playing with a mouse ... instead of asking for a UI overhaul to accommodate your niche playstyle??

    (cough, cough)

It's not "niche" to not play games with a mouse, if you play on a laptop.

Either way, it would make sense to rationalise the crafting process, especially as it continues to expand all the time.

Yes, you can do that, but the thing is, you shouldn't have to essentially bypass entire portions of the game, via addons, should you?

These portions of the game should feel playable enough to not bother trying to skip them.

Not only that, but every update, any one of these addons can bug, or not be updated for a while and throw other things out with them.

No, you can choose the ones you want crafted. You bring up a window that shows all the writs you have in your inventory, and why you can't do some of them if applicable (e.g. style not learned, you don't have the style material, etc.) There are "enqueue all" and "dequeue all" buttons; I usually "enqueue all" and then un-tick any I don't want to craft. You can sort by all kinds of things; sorting by craft station is often useful.

Apart from this saving a lot of time, it's also great if you want to craft e.g. Alchemy writs on your main crafter and have an alt turn them in, because the alt hasn't put points into Chemistry. The alt still has to be capable of making the item, but you can auto-craft it without opening the writ, then stick both in the bank.

Edit: I guess it's on-topic to note that I play with a controller, because I'm on a couch in front of a projector, but I do have a KB+M in front of me at all times. They're just kind of wonky and not reliable enough to use in combat for a game like this. But to do what I describe above, you need them. Also DressingRoom, chat, etc.

    craft every item in breton...

go to outfit system and change the look of it...

The outfit system lets you scroll up and down looking at all the armors and such... If you know what you want..it should be done in less clicks...

Expect another 5 years for alphabetical order or a drop down menu.

Yet they still haven't added one for banks, guild banks, and crafting stations.
