Just for the "fun" of testing:

- 1 click to interact with the crafting station (of course)

Then:

- 4 clicks to get from Bow to Restoration Staff
- 9 clicks to get from Sanded Maple (Level - 1 mat) to Sanded Ruby Ash (CP150 mat)
- 1 click to get the mat to CP160
- 9 clicks to get to from No Trait to Nirnhoned trait
- 75 clicks to get from Molybdenum mat (Breton - first style) to Gilding Salts (Dragonguard - last style)

And 1 more click to craft it (of course)

Total:

100 clicks to craft a CP160 Nirnhoned Resto Staff in Dragonguard style. :#

Someone needs improvement... cough!... crafting UI.. cough!...

Yep, I wish there was an input box for style that we could type a word and filter out the choices.

The devs can't even make a good auction house though so we all know that will never happen.

Still, if you're looking for something somewhere in the middle of the style list you're still gonna be scrolling/clicking and reading for a while.

Interesting and true! Since we don't know exactly where each style is, as they aren't sorted out in alphabetical order.

Sorting by alphabetical order you'd think would be a no-brainer if anyone on the dev team actually played their own game.

Maybe you should consider playing with a mouse ... instead of asking for a UI overhaul to accommodate your niche playstyle??

On PS4 there is NO way of skipping through the styles. If you use multi crafting, holding down the arrow buttons or stick will make it auto increment, but that doesn't work for styles. You need a click for every single style between where you are and the one you want.
It's not so bad when you only craft a few things at a time (they're probably going to be the same style anyway) but if you save up master writs to do in bulk it's a real pain. 75 clicks forward, 30 back, 20 forward, 55 back - you get the picture!
I mean, you can do all of one style at once but then that means running all over the place to different set stations instead which isn't any better (I know, I've tried!). Because the styles aren't in any sort of recognisable order it doesn't really make much difference anyway because you're still clicking through forever looking for the right one whenever you change

Use Writ Worthy. Accept the contract, go to the set station, click on the station, writ worthy does it for you with only the one click. Assuming you're on PC, which your sig indicates you are....

Not everything you craft is a contract (writ), several times you craft complete sets or individual pieces for you or others, and so no addon can craft there.

And even talking about writs, you can't accept more than one writ of the same type (ie: blacksmithing), so, unless you go and come back from the vouchers NPC constantly, you have to manually craft those writs since addons can't craft writs that you didn't accept as a quest.

I know you know, but again I add that only PC has addons.

Eh, for some reason I had in mind you were doing a writ, not sure why. When (like today) I have multiple writs (I bought 13 just to finish getting my main through Unsurpassed Crafter to buy a couple of things from Faustina) I hover over each writ, screenshot each, and then go bulk craft them so I can turn them in all at once without running around like an idiot back and forth to Rolis.

But normally, I only have one at a time, so Writ Worthy works very well for me - for some reason I just don't get more than one every few days. While crate RNG loves me, the rest of the game not so much.... which is why it took me nearly a year to get to 100 writs completed I guess!

13 isn't bulk crafting lol I do 200+ at a time and need a spreadsheet to keep track! :D
You could argue that isn't the way they were intended to be used and you'd be right, but a lot of people do use them like that. There's enough that needs to be done every day (especially with all the endless events) without running around after every single writ and survey as soon as you get it. They wait until I have extra time, enthusiasm and/or there's something I want.
It's when you get up to those sorts of numbers that all those button presses really makes a difference. It's no exaggeration to say I've killed controllers doing a batch of writs - and with the price of PS4 controllers that's no joke!

Well, it's bulk for me, since I haven't had 200 Master Writs EVER! And now it doesn't matter if I only get one a week.... but I hope when my second account crafter hits 50 and starts on Master Writs (which will be by the end of New Life I think), she'll have a better drop rate.

Oh, @Dragonnord - are there the same number of clicks on consoles too? Forgot to ask that earlier - I've never had a console, so haven't a clue about any of that....
