Anyone else think Sorc pets should get a graphical update?

IMO sorc pets are pretty ugly with that purple/pinkish bright color and I've always wanted for them to be updated to maybe look darker like the ones from coldharbour or something like the coldfire scamp or even make the scamp look like the basic ones you see overland? I also wondered if the scamp should be replaced by a stronger familiar on morph like the clanfear? So the scamp can be the base ability while the volatile morph can maybe change into a different daedric creature or a more powerful looking scamp at least?

Im not sure what the new creature would be but if the pets could at least get a graphical overhaul that would be great thanks!

I agree an overhaul on their god awful appearance would be nice. Also, maybe have the matriarch land when the player is not moving so they're not in everyone's view.

Yep, since it is a Deadric summoning they need to be more ugly and darker. Also flapper needs to be smaller, and with more rotten dark colours.

Actually, I think Twilights should fly about 2 to 3 meters HIGHER so they're not in everyone's way.

Other pets ought stay a meter behind the player when not in combat, so they stay further away from writ turn-ins and more of the nodes, and/or phase out within 3 meters of writ turn-in locations in much the same way that group members and friends who have completed a quest area do now in many situations.
The problem with society these days is that no one drinks from the skulls of their enemies anymore.

Pet skins and morphs would be nice so the player can change how they look.

Cut those wings off the Matriarch. Please. Make them stop making that nasty flopping sound and tossing up and down. There is always at least one near the Banker, and every crafting station, ALWAYS!

    Nice.
I like this idea, a lot.

I'd like to use non-combat pets as skins for the combat pets. Add a glow to them or something to show that they are not the basic ones. This would add a lot of variety, and help sell more pets.

It's not like they need special animation. Just have them randomly zap stuff as usual.

Definitely. Twilights don’t need to be so in your face. They’re pretty darn big.
Zos should straight up sell skins for pets too. I would immediately buy a sorc pet skin if it made them look less pink and more bad*ss.

Pets should not continually take up half the screen...

Twilights should be the size of a dragon pet.
Familiars the size of a Jerboa
Clannfear the size of Bantam Guar

    Done!

I don't mind the colour they have now. It makes it easier (for me at least) to tell them from enemy daedra

I do like the idea of customization though, if it were possible I would make mine bright orange

Speaking of crown store furnace, their was talk of them adding different summoning skins to the crownstore. Primarily for the warden bear so you could have it look like a different creature. But i'm sure they would/could do the same for the sorcerer summon pets as well.

Yes, there should definitely be a key to dismiss pets. I have the Pet Dismiss addon, but it shouldn't be necessary.....and most people don't have that anyway so pets remain flapping in everyone's faces in towns.

No wonder sorcs and their pets are so unpopular.

    @ZOS think about it please.

But they know about it. Previously, before special abilities, summon key was the same as unsummon, but, casting the spell with a familiar active would cause them to be unsummoned rather than using a special ability.

So as a solution to this problem they removed it completely instead giving us a new button to be mapped for unsummon.

There is a stupid way to quickly unsummon on weapon swap, but that is viable only if your skills on swap are without summon skill.
On weapon swap if you don't have the skill in the same slot on both weapon tabs, it will remove pet.

Anyhow, I'm just saying, cos I see that you are pinging zos, well, this is something that was put there on the purpose.

Yes, I’d like to be able to make all my summoned spec pets elementals of various nature. Summoning Daedra so lightly never made sense to me in the context of everything else in ESO. Shouldn’t daedric summoning instead be its own skill line accessible for all classes, be criminal acts and maybe require blood sacrifice? I think that would be really cool, actually.

I like pets more or less as is, perhaps they could get some more polys.

What I'd love to see are customizable looks. You can actually get 2-3 different looks for scamp already but the best one is RNG locked in a crate. I'd love to pay crowns to get pets appearances, including for Matriarch.

Indeed, I have heard of that. Well they clearly got it wrong, so that was a reminder for them to have another think :)

Yes, let the clannfear tackle the target and then rip their guts out. Scamps can, I dunno, tear off limbs? And Twilight definitely has to claw out victims eyes and occasionally fly around with a severed head in its claws.

    Graphic enough for you?

That wouldnt work because not everyone uses the same camera angle and...caves.Instead they should make it the size of those little dragon pets and make it fly waist high. That would mostly solve both problems which is being able to click around and see around it.

Id love to use a twilight sometimes but they annoy me so much, i refuse to add to the problem.

A lot of early/base game assets could do with an update. Some of them look truly hideous compared to the most recent textures visuals. Dark Elf helmets, to name one, need a complete redo. Looks like a kid made it out of a bucket (dunno why that one sticks in my mind, I don't even have/wear dark elf attire).
