ZOS should make it so that the last dungeon boss would not spawn unless ALL other enemies/trash mobs were dead  Problem solved.

Ok...may I remind you of your statement next time you play vSO and decide to skip the troll pit? ^^
And if the dam breaks open many years too soon
And if there is no room upon the hill
And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Honestly I feel this is an exploit that ZOS should have fixed.
And the mentality is why the queue is so full of nonsense like fake roles and such -- people just want the daily reward and will find the shortest way to get it.

Unfortunately, ZOS is now tying in dungeon content with story progression. Just like putting books for people to read/find in a dungeon, it is a gross failure to recognize play patterns.

They put a chest under the bridge where you can skip to the final boss, so evidently they weren't against people using a water route

So on a couple (maybe a few) of my characters, I only need a few more achievements under the Veteran Dungeons category. Unfortunately those achievements are locked behind people skipping them. Like Kill 50 Flame Bone Colossus in City of Ash 2 and Kill 500 Obsidian Warriors in Fungal Grotto 2. Everyone runs and/or skips past those things. My DPS is very good, I can nuke those things pretty damn quick. I can understand skipping things if this is 5 years ago when these dungeons were actually challenging. I find it faster to kill everything than it is to do some of the methods used to skip things. Do you know how long I've waited for people to do "the jump" in Mazzatun or City of Ash 2? I probably could've killed all the things you are attempting to skip watching you try to jump up the wall. It's downright frustrating at times.

What about jumping off the waterfalls in Fungal Grotto 1? Are those two bosses too hard? Especially during an event when they drop plunder skulls...or if someone says they are looking for gear in the beginning of the dungeon, yet they skip easy AF bosses that I can kill in mere seconds. I'm usually tank when I play so if someone jumps off the side, I'll let them sit down there while I take my time getting to the end out of spite.

So what are your thoughts on skipping things and dungeon etiquette? If someone says they are looking for something, doing the quest, etc... I am a very considerate player towards that. I usually see if anyone is doing the quest even if they don't say it and I'll help them or wait for what needs to be done...

Guess I'm just getting tired of some of the more crappy players I've been dealing with...and I don't mean crappy as in skill-wise because I can carry that, I mean crappy as in attitude/gameplay.

    I agree with you.

I think it depends. If someone asks for gear, quest or just in general if someone don't wanna sprint a dungeon, then yes I think the rest of the group should respect those wishes.

I recently farmed Overwhelming in Tempest Island, q for tank for both normal & vet. I was running light dd gear with s&b, taunt & chains, just in case extreme low dps. Most of the runs nobody really minded running fast trough it, still killing mostly everything. One run tho, we had a warden healer that needed quest, the two dds of the group ignored him completely, ran past the first trash group and on to killing the first boss before he had managed to talk to the NPCs on the beach... When we got to the first boss, no loot, no nothing and the dds already far ahead again, not responding to chat, completely ignorant.

I think fast farm runs are fine, sometimes that's what one wanna do if you wanna farm a set. However I think it's better when people actually form a group for farming out of the activity finder, or at least when someone asks kindly to do quest/achievement/kill thrash then do that, you are in a random open group shared with 3 others, not your private farm-run.

I've never been told 'no' when I asked if we could do side bosses on a given dungeon for undaunted achievements, gear farm, etc. On a couple of occasions 1-2 players might move on and I have to kill the side boss with just one groupmate, but that's a rare occurance. Conversely, I never denied that to a fellow player when they asked or when they run towards the side boss area. I'm all for faster runs but if someone needs the boss for whatever reason then it's not a problem (and it shouldn't be a problem, imo).

To be honest the in between bosses hardly give any xp at all and the loot is not really worth it either in most dungeons, so skipping to make it quicker is understandable. But yeah OP you should do the dungeons with a pre made group of your own if your trying for achievements that's what I do.

If you want people to play exactly how you want, make your own group to do it. Problem solved. Grouping with randoms gives randoms result.

To play Devil’s Advocate - why should the speed runners get to dictate how the dungeon is run? Why should they get to ‘play exactly as [you] want’ whilst others have to put up with it?!

But to the OP - find a decent guild to run with. Best thing I’ve done in this game & it made it so much more enjoyable!
