This is not pay to win, pay to win would be "While the pet is active, gain 5% damage", something that would force all endgame players to get, like a class with mayor vulnerability, which would force all dps to use that class, that would me p2w

Would be cool if it's the same size as the Mountain Bristleback (or maybe have a Bristleback mount.)

I would buy the mechanic itself. Not really wanting to buy the pig for 5 slots... wish there was a cheaper "mechanic only" option.

This pet is an insult to any player who spent good money on zone DLC and the expansions.

Instead of making a good game, ZOS is selling solutions in the Crown Store to problems that arise with new content or which have been introduced into the game for exactly that purpose. This is unacceptable for a paid game.

Also, it is way too big. I have seen one of these ugly things sitting on the bank counter. This is just awful.

The problem isn't the extra inventory, it's the fact that you pay so much for so little.

For 12 real life dollars, I feel like I should get 500 extra slots, not 5.

It is pay to win and it makes me fear that we will soon be going the same greedy way fallout 76 set out to go. Sure it is only 5 slots but this is how you ease population into the whole pay to win cancer. Start with something small "hey its only 5 slots", then slowly keep moving forward, increasing the pay to win aspect step by step while stupid community goes "hey its only bit more than the previous one, it was fine so this is fine to!"

P2W creep. Elder Tanks Online :smiley:
I still stand with the opinion that the ESO needs to be subscription only without all that crown store crap. I have a feeling that they are moving to f2p premium store game which will be the nail to coffin.

Cool story bro. When that happens, can I have your stuff?

No you can't have my stuff. Go away hippie.

I don't mind the inventory thing, but it's so ugly! I know a lot of people will find it cute, though, so that's nice.

Yes! It's adorable! Just need a mount to match.

I thought the pet was beautiful and wanted to buy it, but decided against it because of the inventory space, since everyone will have it anyway and it would not look interesting.

$12 is less than a good cocktail.

Especially now that I’ve seen it in game, I do think it’s rather ugly, even for a porcine. I prefer pets being purely cosmetic (and I do prefer ESO’s pets to GW2’s minis with the exception of those that actually look like pets, as versus a doll version of some character, but I digress). It isn’t a huge thing to me although as I’ve posted previously, I am concerned with how these options seem to be developing: fewer new in game options to earn, higher Crown price and worse, Gem exclusive.

I do not see how 5 inventory slots help you win fights, most games that did not have a subscription fee and became f2p charged real money for inventory (rift, neverwinter), so what I ask myself when this shortage of inventory will end and they will put on sale for some crowns more inventory space, this games has too many maps motifs and loot for the inventrory we have.

I am holding on buying the pet until i know if it can be unlocked in game but even if it is only 5 slots I am going to buy it (it is a bit too expensive for just 5 slots, i have no interest in the pig itself) I spend too much time managing inventory, for example look at how many colectibles, maps, motifs and other stuff you get from the sculls alone this festival.

ZOS SELL MORE INVENTORY SPACE PLEASE!

Technically speaking it's 90. You get 5 slots per character for a maximum of a 18 multiplier... 18 x 5 = 90. I'm surprised how many people are just omitting this factor.

That makes this better value than any of the storage coffers.

EDITED: Turns out there's 18 slots now, not 16. So 10 more slots than the original stated 80.

But for anyone who hasn't filled all their character slots it would likely be better value to make a bank character.

On a stupidity level it is quite interesting...

    You can either spend

1500 Crowns on a butt-ugly pig pet and 5 inventory slots per pig instance, or

1500 Crowns on a new character (assuming you have 10 already otherwise it’s free) and up to 200 inventory slots

So if you’re buying it for the inventory space, it’s just rank insanity.

That is true, but the inconvenience of using alt characters as storage cannot be denied.

Sadly with or without the extra 5 slots from the pet, I am forced to use some of my alts for storage.

Adding 5 inventory slots isn't really a game changer, and I don't sub. The pet is still a cosmetic to me even if adding this extra perk, you don't actually need the boar out which still renders the pet quite inefficient like the rest. Why not sell inventory space on the crown store then? I don't know, a little confused as to why they have this boar pet with a constant perk, beats the point in this "carrier pet" if there is no immersion. I can understand if they would made a pet with a +10 inventory space which had to be out so it increases capacity.

I'm just curious what people make of Zos adding a pet that ups your inventory space.

Do you feel it's a good idea or do you feel it's bordering on pay to win?

I think it's cute and it offers a nice functionality. I'm not going to get it because I don't care that much for the extra slots and I'm low on crowns/gold anyway at the moment, but I don't think it's pay-to-win, there's no ground-breaking advantage in a slightly expanded inventory.

90, actually. The maximum characters you can have on a server is 18.

EDIT: Seems you are correct, they must have added 2 new "for sale" ones because I had previously purchased the maximum, but there's 2 here I can get.

    So even better, 90 slots.

    I'll be nice

But this is the third post about this buuutttugly critter

What exactly do you win with 5 slots?

If having the pet out made you immune to the boss attacks, you would have a case.
