How does everyone feel about the new Boar Pet?

It’s nice that it adds functionality, but it’s too ugly to use. That, and the added inventory should be a standard feature with all current and future pets anyway. Given the amount of sets, mats, writs, consumables and crap we collect on a daily basis, inventory management is an issue that persists regardless of whether or not you’ve maxxed your character’s inventory slots and mount.

I’d like to see more semi-useless crap like XP scrolls and such moved to the currency tab or just out of general inventory.

This is definitely PTW! Sooo Sick of ZoS hiding stuff behind Paywalls!!! They should compensate every player by increasing the inventory slots by 10 for all characters!!!

Did I do that right!? We gets free stuff now? Yes?;)

On a stupidity level it is quite interesting...

    You can either spend

1500 Crowns on a butt-ugly pig pet and 5 inventory slots per pig instance, or

1500 Crowns on a new character (assuming you have 10 already otherwise it’s free) and up to 200 inventory slots

So if you’re buying it for the inventory space, it’s just rank insanity.

Yeah, but then you have to log to different alts, all the time.

    Really, neither option is ideal.

I think what most people probably want is significantly more bag space on their main (or mains) and/or more bank space.

    Totally agree.

ESO should not be a tedious game of inventory management. It isn’t on the PTS and all the better for it.

ZOS should introduce additional inventory slots as fast as they introduce new motif stones, armour sets and other bits of fluff

It is pay to win and it makes me fear that we will soon be going the same greedy way fallout 76 set out to go. Sure it is only 5 slots but this is how you ease population into the whole pay to win cancer. Start with something small "hey its only 5 slots", then slowly keep moving forward, increasing the pay to win aspect step by step while stupid community goes "hey its only bit more than the previous one, it was fine so this is fine to!"

I still stand with the opinion that the ESO needs to be subscription only without all that crown store crap. I have a feeling that they are moving to f2p premium store game which will be the nail to coffin.

    same.

ZOS is going hard into gating QoL changes behind a paywall. I don't like this direction they've been going in, and it seems extra scummy considering how they put off game and performance fixes for so long. Really shows where their priorities are.

I like that they are going down the road of pets and maybe mounts will give inventory increases I do think that 5 slots per character was a little well Zos for it, it should have been an even 10 slots and mounts should come with 20 slots at the least but I can see the p2w in what they are doing we should have had a upgrade your pet shop to boost inventory via writ vouchers, telvar or crowns like the way chests was done there was a choice

People will buy the 5 slots upgrade not because it’s a fair price but because every little helps when it comes to inventory space management and the ever increasing sets and the changing of old sets for the better

1st step towards p2w to come sadly :/
Less of a P2W than ESO+ tbh... (That is if you consider more inventory to be P2W, then ESO+ is um... well... yeah... )

If something, it is a good way for people who don't find subscription models attractive to struggle less with inventory management.
Sure. it would be way, way better to simply have it for example to be bundled with chapters as an auto-upgrade (since chapters = more crafting mats = more space needed etc.) But hey, it is at least something.

Mark the semi-useless crap as junk when you don't bank/sell/destroy it. I actually mark all my consumables I use regullary or are slotted on my quickslot bar as junk, so they won't clutter my inventory when I get a lot of loot in it.

Agreed. 100%. This one is relatively inexpensive and “only” five inventory slots per character. How long before there is a limited time 500 Crown Gem exclusive that adds 100 inventory slots? Of course, I don’t have to buy that and I probably won’t buy this one (also not a fan of porcines), but don’t like the increasing prices and then exclusive RNG means of getting new items.

I purchased it without putting too much thought into it. Given the entire context in which it exists, I think it crosses the line from Pay-to-Save-Time to P2W. It sets a bad precedent and I don't think I would get it again if given the choice. Lesson learned.

Agreed. It's pretty obvious this is ZOS testing the waters and seeing how far they can push this particular type of micro-transaction.

In a vacuum, I'd be okay with it. The problem is that this item is a symptom of a much larger problem and indicative of this game heading in a direction I don't really feel comfortable supporting.

I'm afraid we're gonna look back and this little piggy is going to be the day ESO finally turned the corner to be full P2W.

I don't really care if it's earnable in game if players have to grind for it. Most P2W games have many thing you can grind for but it's so tedious it sends you to the real money store in frustration.

1.2k Crowns? sorry Zeni but you’re gonna need to give porky more than 5 slots for me to swipe my card. Needs to be at least 15-20 slots I want a full load out strapped to his back.

Looks like we are going to have to walk uphill in the snow barefoot for a little inventory space. No thanks.

In the old days an increase to inventory would be given to everyone. Changes would be made to ease the issue such as increasing item stacks and allowing more items to stack. Remember when surveys did not stack?

This is not p2w. We have 200 inventory space / character, +bank, + house without real money, +5 inventory not soo much :). This is first cosmetic item with real meaning, functionality.
