The dlcs were average. It's the game design that ruins any of the efforts. Since 2016 theses has been a steady slide of mediocrity and half finished ideas. Cant really vote on this poll as it's very biased

    None/other

Non of the DLC content was interesting for me other than Necro. imo the game is in a worse place now then it was last year but at least last patch pvp was somewhat fun for 3 months

Oh and necro bash was fun when it was a thing too

Waste of year with horrible gameplay changes and the performance is trash as ever. It could be have been season of the painted powder puffs. Wouldn’t matter with with this circus.

I try to accept each zone, DLC, and chapter for what it is, on its own terms. Each is enjoyable in its own way. I haven't played through all of the content yet.

This. Now if next year turns out to be "the year of Skyrim".... well, I may have to rethink things. Especially if I have to figure out how to re-download a hundred or more gigs of game in the first quarter - on a total of 20 GB per month, plus 50 GB per month bonus free zone....

When we'll we have year of dragonknight? :D
    2018 was nightblades
    2019 - templars
    sorcs are always actual
So question is if warden or DK will be cherished class in 2020

Can’t vote b/c I am still holding out on supporting a storyline locked behind so many different paid DLCs (not salty - just showing my discomfort by not paying for more than the Elsweyr Chapter, however small a blip this is on the corporate radar). Still hoping for a Pellitine Zone daily reward à la Murkmire.

Elsweyr is cool but I still have trouble with all of the roadblocks between points A and points B. But I'm getting better. Not my favorite DLC of all time but still cool. I think Wrothgar is still my favorite but Somerset is great too.

I must admit I was not overly keen when the whole 'Season of the Dragon' thing was announced, but I was really impressed with the Elswyre chapter and so far I am loving Dragonhold. Whilst the main story was a little generic, there have been some fantastic side-quests and NPCs along the way. Was not overly keen on the DLC dungeons, but then again I play for quests and story.

Summerset was considered a Chapter I believe when it first came out. So I'm not sure it's fair to compare Southern Elsweyr to Summerset.

It would be better to compare it to Murkmire. That was the last DLC questing zone we had I believe. And while I did enjoy Murkmire, Southern Elseweyr had a much better story and more content. So I believe it compares favorably.

I really didn't and don't have any use for Murkmire. The ONLY swamp I like is Hjaalmarch.... and I have zero use for Argonians. I LOVE Elsweyr and Khajiit though, so yep - I am just fine with this Year of the Cats and Dragons.

I will NOT be fine if next year is the Year of Skyrim. I am SO done with Skyrim.... So, if it shows up next year, well, I won't be buying it or playing it. If it's for 2021 instead.... maybe. A vanishingly small maybe.

^ this. Hated dungeons, was made worse by my next point.
Also disliked the room locking in the hall of lunar champion behind separate DLCs including dungeon and the locking of sets and achievement furnisher behind Dragonguard daily quests. (We already work to unlock the ability to purchase the furnishings now we have to work to unlock the guy selling us the furnishings we still have to work to unlock!?!?!?!)

The zones were nice, really well done, lots of content, cool characters, I got to kill a few dragons, decent storyline, nice new necro class, uh think that’s everything...

7/10 (would have been 8 if not for the achieve furnisher locking, 9 without the dungeon DLCs wasting a zone DLC space or a patch dlc space)

Enjoyed questing/exploring in Elsweyr, but haven't done any of the dungeons and necro was of no interest to me. I also am not enjoying the current lack of sustain and find the number of players needed to kill dragons frustrating as it limits off-peak play.

IMO storytelling in the DLCs as well as general bugginess in the stories/quests just got worse and worse pretty much ever since Wrothgar.
And forcing people to do dungeons to see the story -- without addressing the issue of people rushing through dungeons ruining the story experience -- was gross oversight.

I dissagree with the former, but 100% agree about forcing people to play the dungeons to see the story. The way people speed though the games dungeons just makes enjoying the quest near impossible. If they wanna do this, they should at least add a solo mode to such story dungeons.

All this chapters and DLC's are the same to me. Chapter - new zone with quests, new type of dolmens, one trial and... nothing more. No new dungeons, no mounts for quests (or buyable for some new coins for dailies rewards), simply nothing. DLC - may be some small new zone, two new dungeons... And that's all)

It seems to be the beginning of ESO-streamline production, the story and worldbuilding and many more things are becoming identical with each update, and I hate where this is going

My sub will continue for another 12 months soon, but I will stop the recurring after that. If 2020 is going to be like 2019, then maybe it's time for me to go free to play

I loved both Northern and southern elsweyr. The atmosphere, npcs, questlines, main storyline....Adored those dragons...i hope i get rescued by one sometime in the future....i bonded with a dragon and now consider him my ally. Hope he helps me in another future zone even if it's not khajiit territory.

I am craving some sort of mystery to solve next....unfortunately with the spoilers from pts that might not be possible.

Sorry didn't mean to go off topic but i still answered your question. Good post op 😊🖒

Everything turned out to be so BORING to me... Northern Elsweyr was gorgeous when I first went there, but it quickly grew stale, especially with some of the quests feeling tedious. Southern Elsweyr is even worse--it feels so dead, and I'm not talking about the fact that the place is decrepit... It just has no atmosphere whatsoever.

The dungeons are awful. They're frustrating and have hokey mechanics for the sake of having them feel fresh, but in the end they're just tedious. I have the same feelings about the Frostvault dungeons and a few of the other new DLC ones. They're getting less and less satisfying to complete. I remember the thrill of beating vet Scalecaller and Bloodroot Forge, for example, and how satisfying it felt. With the newer dungeons, I'm just glad when they're over.

And Sunspire. Don't even get me STARTED on that. It's by far my absolute least favorite content in the entire game. They advertised it as a "full" trial, but it's a mini trial with a lot of tedious filler to make it feel more substantial. The dragons spend most of their time flying around invulnerable while we deal with round after round of fighting the EXACT same waves of adds and it's utterly mind-numbing. I understand that other trials are similar, but at least the fact that we're doing the same thing over and over again is at least better disguised or more fun makes them much less tortuous.

Lastly, the Lokke set. It's stupidly OP. While I understand that there will always be the BiS meta sets, Lokke is SO absurdly far above the rest that stam DDs who want to optimize their DPS basically have no choice but to use it. It feels like we're all being funneled into a very narrow meta, and I'm honestly tired of bringing up new gear set combos and builds to people only to be met with "but LoKkE iS bEtTeR". And they're frustratingly correct. This obviously speaks to a larger issue with meta chasing, but the number of sets seen as viable for max DPS feels narrower than ever.

I just finished the main quests in Clockwork City, Summerset, and Vvardenfell (in that order because no one gets to dictate how I play) and, while the latter was a bit less interesting, they were worlds above Elsweyr. I'll admit that I absolutely love Dunmeri lore, especially the Tribunal, and have zero interest in Khajiit lore and the culture in general, so I have no attachment to Elsweyr like I do the others. My opinions on the Vvardenfell, CWC, and Summerset quests may have more to do with Vivec and Sotha Sil than the quality of their content, but Elsweyr feels like a huge drop in quality to me.

As a lore fan I see a great progress in the way the stories are told now. Dialogues, books, events, items - all these things provide a great understanding of history and culture. Murkmire is also an example of excellent lore approach. As for the game mechanics, I don't care for nerfs or buffs or anything related. MMO aspect of ESO was a frustrating crap since 2016 to me - the year I started to play it.

I like exploring new things, so I always like new content just for the story. Doesn't mean I played the DLC's a lot after completing most non-repeatable content or that I enjoyed the combat changes. I rather had performance upgrades and a playable version of Cyrodiil (but we got Volendrung instead).
