Yes - I loved all of the DLC's!
I’m here for the story, first and foremost, and I enjoyed it. I’m fact, I just finished the main storyline for Southern Elsweyr today, and it made me cry. 😭 No spoilers, but I love the characters so much, and whatever they go through affects my character (and me) emotionally.

The end of Summerset’s main story also made me cry, so that’s 2 years in a row ZOS hit me in the feels. And I’m okay with that. 😊

Like the DLC, but the game is getting buggier and hate the fact that Torval and Corinthe are missing from the Elsywer chapter. Kinda like Sheogorad inaccessible in Vvardenfell.

I loved the DLC dungeons but not Elsweyr
Everything turned out to be so BORING to me... Northern Elsweyr was gorgeous when I first went there, but it quickly grew stale, especially with some of the quests feeling tedious. Southern Elsweyr is even worse--it feels so dead, and I'm not talking about the fact that the place is decrepit... It just has no atmosphere whatsoever.

The sad part is that they promise us that Southern Elsweyr will have different architecture than Nortern Elsweyr

I just liked the Necromancer class. That was worth the whole chapter, for me.

Literally could do away with everything else, as I don't particularly care for deserts or cats or dragons - although the zones themselves are pretty as a painting and I can appreciate the work that went into them.

In terms of chapters, Vvardenfell and its associated DLCs was the best. Then Summerset.
    Skyrim better be next.

I love Southern Elsweyr, Northern not so much.

I think it has to do with the landscape: Not a big fan of desert like landscapes. Also I get confused fast in the crag so I trty to avoid that one. The necromancer is what made Northern Elsweyr enjoyable for me.

The lush enviroment and the 'not so serious tone' of the main quest is what makes Southern Elsweyr so fun for me. Really good voice acting and lovely characters there.

So the year is coming to an end, I personally found this DLC the least enjoyable in my opinion, Dragons were cool but I still loved Summerset more just because Gryphons and nice landscapes and stuff.

Edit: Accidentally pressed Enter and wasn't able to have a "I don't like any of the new DLCS" Option so just type it below.

Summerset was a far better DLC for me. I dont mind Elsywyr, its nice and Ive enjoyed the story.

But lets be honest, adding Wyverns (and calling them dragons) was a bit of a gimmick to tap into the Game of Thrones popularity. Fair enough, but for me Summerset is more aesthetically pleasing, the Psijic line is awesome, the story was good, the trial added new bis gear, all round a better DLC in my opinion.

Did Year of the Dragon work?

As an overall storyline it was more coherent than the Daedric Princes storyline that touched on Orsinium, Clockwork City and Summerset. But that’s really damning with faint praise. I can judge its overall impact by the fact that I am utterly uninterested in how it ends.. (I have just started playing Dragonhold).

    I liked
    - more players trying Wrathstone dungeons, in particular trying to do the stories
    - Symphony of Blades, great final boss, shame the 3 mini bosses beforehand are such rubbish
    - V2 dragons, still flawed but great fun atm
    - Necros, not my favourite class but fun to play
    - The design, Elsweyr looks great despite its flaws
    - Scalebreaker dungeons, largely good fun and look fantastic

    I didn’t like
    - Questing in dungeons. It’s rubbish and it doesn’t work. It’s a crap experience for everyone even if you are all trying to do it
    - Frostvault buggy buggy buggy buggy still doesn’t work
    - The inexplicable mini bosses in Depths of Malatar. What is going on? Why is it going on? And stop using very faint lighting effects as indicators shite dungeon design at its heart
    - Elsweyr tedious task management on behalf of the cat folk with added Abnur Tharn.
    - V1 dragons. You put all your eggs into the dragon basket and this is what you come up with? Crappy one shot, static, spinning, shiteshows with badly implemented skills and effects. The very definition of whelming..
    - Sunspire. Initially so badly implemented that groups were being organised to loot it without ever fighting a boss. Still a dull, if challenging, set of v1 dragon fights
    - Sench-raht pounce. I mean really. Have you seen anything that looks less static?
    - Crappy dungeon loot. I mean how hard can it be to come up with interesting, fun stuff? Instead we get innumerable items with no loot, and the same low grade stuff we’ve seen before.
    - Dragonhold getting totally lost in the Witches Festival - way to end the Season of the Dragon.
    - Server performance. *** up your servers once shame on you, *** them up every time there’s a new launch or an event, you clearly have no shame

It must be so hard being forced to play a game you don’t enjoy..... 😂

I am not forced to do anything - I did not enjoy that story line is locked behind DLC dungeons and so I did not enjoy this year.
I chose to play other realms of the game.

I thought the poll was to gauge if this was a format that people enjoyed. The lack of options indicates otherwise.

    Enjoyed the realms.
Did not appreciate story line in DLC dungeons.

Where is the "sub par" of "meh" option on your list? It was such an engaging story I didnt make it past the initial question.
The zones are boring and the only thing that makes them unique are dragons. Take that away and you have no meat on the bones.

Zos dlc quality has gone down consistently over the years starting with Wrothgar. Then they pulled a fast one with the chapter scam.

Remember, Wrothgar was free to subscribers and a dlc.

Summerset looked better to me. Guess the reason is I like foliage better than desert. Really enjoyed Southern Elsweyr more than Northern Elsweyr. The dragon fights were upgrade from Northern Elsweyr. The story was also better, I think. After it is all said and done if I do more dragon fights outside of achievement it will be in Southern Elsweyr for sure. No more in Northern Elsweyr for me.

I liked it generally. Only real issue I had was no end game content for Dragonhold, was really hoping for a new solo arena or something. Oh well now I’m hoping we get one in the Skyrim Chapter, the journey up to High Hrothgar would be a top notch solo trial.

This year pushed most players way the DLCs and 1 theme for the whole year is stupid. If anybody doesn’t like the theme then they have 1 whole year of content that doesn’t appeal to them.

If they are going to do it this way let’s hope next year is year of the PVP but nah it won’t be it will be a nostalgia trip again and probably Skyrim and more dragons. YAWN.

Dungeons had to be done to see the story arc:
EPIC fail, as no-one ever hangs around for the story (or even any quest) in them, PLEDGE and gone!

So no did not see, and due to the PC/EU nothing works issues, probably never will!

In short I did not enjoy them.

As with all DLCs the art team is continuing to release beautiful landscapes and continue to improve the quality with their tools, even 5 years after release. So hats off to that bunch! Unfortunately the only DLC I have ever been able to stomach start to finish is Summerset.

The dlcs were average. It's the game design that ruins any of the efforts. Since 2016 theses has been a steady slide of mediocrity and half finished ideas. Cant really vote on this poll as it's very biased

Summerset were the best. and you know why? because the ESO story ended there. everything what you have done in the past 3 years since wrothgar. ended in Summerset ^^ and it was the most epic ending in the elder scrolls history after morrowind one.

You met with great characters. You visited the best and the most wonderful and beatifull and colorfull zone in the history game. the most civilised one. the best misc questlines. can not approve on my opinion. but cannot deny it.

beside summerset gave more into the elder scrolls arc and plot than any other expansion yet.

Bringed up the truly role of the Towers. The Towers are the ultimate 'light towers' and gates between the endless realities. the multiverse. they exist in all reality in every form. Just like the like in Bioshock.

IYear of the dragged on (and on)

    Good

New class - Necro was way overpowered at launch (surprise, surprise). But it has settled down and indicates what ZOS now think a class should be. Offers skills for all roles, DD, Tank and Healer and for both stam and magicka builds. You can make a viable Necro build using only class skills. I can see ZOS tweaking other classes to enable them to do this too.

Version 2 dragons - actually work

Southern Elsweyr - great zone. Well laid out for dragons. Nice questline. I like the fact that rewards open up as you progress (kind of like a single player game). A bit let down by a stupidly designed world boss.

    Meh

Dungeons - DoM (great final boss challenging and satisfying to beat, crap mini bosses, no logic to them at all), LoM (looks lovely, some interesting challenges, poor new mechanics like barely visible AoE, loooooooooong, barely moving dragon at end), MF (looks lovely, some interesting challenges, incomprehensible mechanics, looooooooong, not moving dragon)

    Bad

Elsweyr - torpidly dull. Version 1 dragons were awful. Zone layout is very badly thought out. “We put all our time and energy into dragons and none into anything else” seems to be the overwhelming feeling here. A dull, incomplete story whose main protagonists seemed to vaporise as soon as you met them.

    Sunspire trial - quite dull

Frostvault - still buggy as hell.

Dragons - ZOS bet the farm on dragons, but failed to deliver in Wrathstone (no dragons at all), Elsweyr (v1 dragons) and Scalebreaker (chained up or poorly animated dragons). It’s only with Southern Elsweyr and the V2 dragons that they even begin to appear threatening. Hopefully they will rework the earlier parts to have better dragons. Very disappointing.

Once again, overland difficulty was nearly like 0, that just totally *** up all the hard work done on those new zones.

It's totally boring to explore new zones with 0 risk.

Yeah the poll does not really cover a helpful range of options with regards to the DLCs.

Personally, Summerset was far more enjoyable than the "Year of the Dragon", in terms of the actual zone, content, aesthetics, story etc.

Mirkmire was a bit of a damp squib for me. I liked it, but was not blown away like I was with Summerset. Similar to "Year of the Dragon" really, Ive enjoyed it, but Ive not been blown away.

On balance, I do not agree with a year long story/dlc arc, but I would not be overly annoyed if they did it again, its not a big deal.
