Shorter Dlc Dungeons?

GrimTheReaper45

Would you like dlc dungeons that dont take as long to complete? I feel like the newer dungeons we have been getting are all on the longer side as far as time to complete. Around like 35-40 mins in my experience. I would like some dungeons that run like 15-20 mins to complete.

Note that shorter doesnt have to equal easier.

Especially I would love to not always get portet into DLC Dungeons, just because I can get portet there. As soon as I reach Level 45 while leveling, I can stop doing dungeons, since I land 100% in DLC ones, that are not really doable in traininggear and always take ages with randoms on top.

Shorter than Maarselok for sure. When you defeate second to last boss (Maarselok first encounter) it's actually half of the dungeon lol

For the love of God yes, anything that you can be out in the group finder ought to be at most 20 minutes. 15 preferably to me.

    than dont do dungoens

    - my opinion: dlc dungons are the best in the game because of there new inovative machanics and nice design its always fun to explore than the first time with a few mates i think the most of them(expect maybe 2 or so) have a perfect size and i would prefer more dungoens and maybe even longer (for me we could have cut dragonhold(just an awful dlc- has NO content and everything to do is done in 1day) and get 2 new dungoens would be way better)

There needs to be a balance, length doesn't necessarily equal difficulty (CoA2 and VoM). By no means am I saying the dungeons should be easier, but there are 38 dungeons in game, and over 1/3 of them take about twice as long as than the other 2/3s mostly due to trash mobs (ICP, RoM and LoM come to mind) and sheer size of the map.

I would rather have the next DLC dungeons be 1 medium length dungeon (CoH1/2 or COA1 length) and the other be more like a CR or even blessed crucible (without beast master) design with 2-3 mini-bosses with a handful of adds between, and a difficult, well choreographed final fight, like Maelstrom but slightly easier so it can be PUG'd?

I have no issue with cutting "fat" from encounters as long as the main mechanic is left. Will it make dungeons overall easier? Sure. Bloodroot Forge Mino is the best example of cutting "fat". Hated it at first, but in the end it didn't matter much to me.

Keep HM's as they are though.

No, DLC dungeons are best PVE part of the game in my opinion. (in terms of overall detail, immersion, pace and story)

Shortening them will disrupt that harmony.

Imagine telling yourself that you want less content for the same price. Ok, that was snarky and I know it's not quite like that but I think it really comes down to difficulty of the dungeons. A lot of the DLC dungeons don't really take that long to complete if people know what they're doing. Getting a group of randoms to do that isnt always an easy task however.

Even base game dungeons can take a while if people keep wiping. Imagine how long Tempest Island would take if the bosses caused wipes often.

So I think really it comes down to asking for easier DLC dungeons doesn't it? While I understand people wanting some easier content; creating it isn't an easy task. Any content that requires you to do anything other than the classic "tank n spank" is going to be considered significantly more difficult by the average player.

Part of the problem imo is there really isnt much incentive to run the new dungeons. They're very hard and the gear is nice, but if you are running a random dungeon or looking for pledges then it is simple: a waste of time.

I definitely think some of the mechanics can be a little much (frost vault lasers + dwemer spheres on release come to mind) but I wouldn't want a shorter dungeon for the sake of time: I want more of a reason for everyone to actually run these dungeons, especially on veteran.

You still skip adds even on No Death. The add requirement was enabled for dragonbones and up dungeons. Skipping adds is essentially easier to get No Death with that in mind.

Dungeon may be able to be finished in say 20 mins with decent group. Then you have to factor in the load screens, and the one guy who gets kicked from game right at the beginning, and the one guy who gets dc'd right before last boss. And the second guy has the login screen keep telling him his account is already logged in for 10 mins, finally gets back, and has to port back into dungeon, so another 5 min load screen. Talking about at least an hour at this point, really should make them shorter when you factor in everything else.

Yes make them shorter OR easier with the option to make it harder form the beginning, instead of the end.

The challenge should be decided by the group from the start, not the end ultimately so that people can have the challenge they want and desire- not to slog through an already 'challenging' encounter that people 40% of the time didn't wnat and just hit 'random vet'.

Do I find the dungeons hard? No
    They are rewarding, yes.

But I want to see less toxicity in the community, and people to decide if they want something hard, because it was their choice- and their choice to have fun that way.

I like the quality of the DLC dungeons. The DLC dungeons is one area Zos excels.

I do not want the quality diminished and it seems pretty small to complain about a difference of 20 minutes in length which is exactly what OP is complaining about.

I would like to see a DLC dungeon with only 2-3 bosses and no adds, but the bosses take a bit to fight and are harder than the final bosses of other dungeons. A bit like AS if you will. It can result in shorter times for good groups but longer times for less experienced ones.
