Hi, for my pve stamblade in main quest solo play, is the alcast rampage set up using tooth of lokkestiiz that uses synergy the best set up? or is Advancing Yokeda an acceptable set? I don't really want to gold out a set of lokkestiiz if the advancing yokeda set is just as good. I do dungeons and occasional trials with this stamblade. I accept that i can replace my Malstrom Bow with the Master's bow, but not sure i want to go farming for a new set of gear. Opinions anyone? thanks!

You said solo questing and your using an end game difficult to acquire meta build from mister Elitist himself as reference?

My Stamblade does just fine as a Crit Kitty build using Leviathan and Hundings Rage. If you want to also be decent in Dungeons and Trials, Vicious Ophidian is an amazing sustain set.

For questing just use ANY stamina set , but not lokke or rele ( makes no sense alone )

Try Hunding's Rage (crafted) is a good start. Nightmothers Gaze too, altho its better if you use a crit-build. As monster-set you could use Selene's (if you build around direct damage) or Stormfist (for the extra regen, and a nice aoe).

Not sure why anyone would want to use Lokke’s for solo questing. It’s main benefits only come into play in group content and so there are many sets that are better for solo questing. Similarly with Advancing Yakuda.

If you can get Lokke’s (ie you’re capable of running Sunspire) you should be able to do all the solo questing fairly easily. As the name suggests questing is more about doing specific tasks than facing the very greatest foes. And there are many more interesting questing sets for a stamblade depending on what you want your stamblade to be - stealthy shadow warrior, lethal assassin, vicious killer etc. My stamblade rocks a full on poison gearset with no trials kit, which is just lethal.

There’s really no need to gold out anything for solo questing. You don’t need to for most vet dungeons. You will get far more effectiveness out of good rotations and potion use than from upgrading from purple to gold. Then you will be advancing by improving your game rather than by improving your gear.

I would say just go out there and do some questing. See how your current gear works. Play with different gear. Increase your bag slots so you can have more sets to play with on the fly. Experiment with sets you pick up and play your own game.

Don’t play Alcast’s way because he tells you, play that way cos it works for you. If it doesn’t work, adapt it until it does or try something else.

    Have fun

I just use Fiord with Jailbreaker and jewelry with Swift trait for pve quest while I use my stamblade.
    Gotta go fast.
Really, once you reach high CP, any set will do for normal pve.

Unless you are doing trials regularly, Advancing Yokeda will likely serve you better. That is my estimation. Or you could just use something like Briarheart or Toothrow, or Tzogvin in combination with Rele.

ps, I would also add, for solo questing, you could consider not actually using Rele either! Because it relies on single target focus, but while questing you are far more likely to be dealing with high numbers of adds, so multiple targets, will you get the most out of Rele? Experiment with the sets I listed above, there are also others.

I mean, it's solo questing, so as others have said you really don't need to worry about having the "best" sets/trial gear. Get together a few stamina sets and try them to find out what is enjoyable for you. Whatever works and is fun is what's "acceptable." I have a few sets available for my Stamblade for solo content (including Hundings, Leviathan, etc) but my favourites are Defiler and Red Mountain. A volcano that spews lava at opponents and a pet hunger? THAT'S fun!
