"Pack Leader Bone Broth" and "Disastrously Bloody Mara"

Don't you think it is a bit not fair to lock the ingriedients to EVENT recipes behind a paywall ? There have never been single case of this so far, but now ZOS tells you to buy Elsweyr and kill Dragons to get Dragon Blood for "Disastrously Bloody Mara" and buy Fang Lair DLC and run it to get Dragon bone for"Pack Leader Bone Broth".
I WOULD undertand if those recipes were also behind the said Chapter and DLC but they are event ones, for everyone to get. Only to find they can't craft them.
I know you can buy them, but that's not the point. And i also know that "Bewitched Sugar Skulls" seem to be te best food of the three so far and does not have a special ingriedient, but i want to talk about the topic, what do you guys think of it ?
On the side note, Dragon Blood itself is an alchemy ingriedent locked behind paywall, which concerns me too

✭The fang lair style material is a bit much imo, not comparable to the ease of dragon blood. I ended up using mimic stones to make some fang lair stuff and deconstructed it to get the dragon bones I wanted.

1. You are unwilling to pay for DLC, you do not get to complain about not having access to the materials short of paying for them. If you did, should the people who bought the DLC complain that others are benefiting from them? Why shouldn't they be allowed to sell those DLC limited materials at a premium instead?
2. The world is unfair. Of course the game is going to try and tempt you to buy DLC, it's how they make their money. People in game are going to sell you crown as high as they can, because they want more gold. Your boss is going to make you work as hard as possible because he wants more revenue. Do I like it? No. Will anything change if i complain about it on the forums? No. Should I just keep quiet about it and let the game become more and more monetized? No. Is the answer to this question contradictory to my first question. Yes. Please inform me if you've found a way to make ZoS care enough about you to stop tempting you to open your wallet.12 -

- Pack Leader Bone Broth is a joke anyway. No WW in their right mind would use it. Even "Jewels of Misrule" is better for WW. So it is basically useless, so I dont see an issue since you only have to craft it "once" for the event achivement.
- Bewitched Sugar Skulls is superior, out of all 3 new recipies. I hope it wont be nerfed because of "popularity".
- I dont like the idea of base game event requiring to have "anything" to do with DLC / Chapters, but it is not the end of the world. It is far worse for example if you have master crafting writ that requires DLC you dont have...
- In general, I think that we have too many crafting mats in game (it drastically jumped up in the one last year) and the normal bank space (240) is no longer able to keep up.3 -

I'd agree with you if it were impossible to trade them. You may not have access to stabbing dragons but you certainly do have access to their mats.
Your argument is - ZOS is putting mats behind a pay wall, then you intentionally exclude the obvious solution of trading.
If ZOS did not provide a use for the mats they introduce, they would be useless. That would cause more complaints. Complaints that are actually valid.
I agree with Tommy above, Bone Broth is garbage, needs to be at least on par with Bi-Stat and instead of reduce ulti cost, increase duration of WW. I did. There is only one answer to this baseless whining: Buy from a trader. You are not cut out of the material because they are all over the guild traders.

RaveRaveRaveRave✭✭✭Fang Lair is one of my favorite dungeons so this doesn't bother me. I'll always have a supply of Dragon Bones. Hope it goes up in value. Kinda got bored of killing Elsweyr dragons though, however got enough dragon blood for a while...
Good thing the Bewitched Sugar Skulls don't use anything like that and I use those most of all since tank.1 -

Hey, here's an idea; check out a few guild traders. I did buy the chapter/dlc/update/whateveryouwanttocallit, but hadn't done anything involving it. Before I killed even one dragon, I had 37 dragon blood and a dozen dragon bile in my inventory. Bought them at a couple of guild traders. How is the stuff locked behind a paywall if people can get it without owning the "paywall" content?0 -

Clam gall and powdered mother of pearl for artaeum pickled fish bowl and artaeum broth were both behind a paywall (previously they could only be attained through buying Summerset chapter). Sure, the recipes were also behind a paywall but my point is this is hardly the first time ZOS has put something behind a zone paywall.
It’s not like these ingredients are bound, you can easily buy them from traders if you don’t want to purchase the dlc. Sorry not sorry ZOS isn’t more accommodating here? There’s a lot to criticize about this game and the company that makes it but this complaint feels pretty weak tbh.2 -

Wow, I didn't realize that was the case.
I can't say I'm surprised. $enimax has been diving deeper and deeper in to the depravity that is predatory game design for well over a year now. Sadly, many won't see the problem with this as many players are already oblivious frogs in the pot.
