How to you decide what skills and rotations to use each patch?

As an 18+ player (as the game rules require) I just cannot keep up with all the changes. Where I come from, people of 18+ generally have jobs, are studying, have real life commitments and don't have 24/7 to keep up with a game.

I'm still trying to catch up with Tamriel One. When I get around to the latest skillsets/best in slot stuff, I'll figure something out. Right now I'm trying to move house.

Ask friends and guildies

Since i can only choose one i went with Friends. We all read the patch notes, watch vids, look at sites and communicate with each other what works for us and our team.

Self invented and tested on target dummy

I do use guides as soft reference points, but usually final builds end up a fair bit different with stuff that works best for me in content rather than what's better on dummy (I've always used swallow soul over elemental weapon for example). If my build can hit 85% of maximum damage output, I call it a day.

That’s interesting. You don’t need elemental drain with the people you support?

As a healer main :
1 - You don't need ele drain outside of raid if your DPS are good.
2 - Radiant aura who can aoe the magika still with same radius as altar is nuts and the Siphon Spirit from resto got buffed 2 patch ago and is now the best skill for life and magika drain. Both in 1 skill, free, 0 cast and last 30sec.

I always do my own tank and healing build (I don't play dps often so idc about) and also do them for my guildie who need help.
Most of youtube/alccast build for healer look terrible imo.

That my advice to any player : Do it yourself. Take time to test anything and learn how stat scale, once you're fine with this you'll never worries about change.
Ofc it's not easy and take time, but anyone can do it with a bit of practice and dedication, it's not "elite reserved".

Not much to adapt tbh, just returned to my setup from U21. Blockade now is just a screwed ruin of previous self, but other then that I'm ok.

Merc resolve / Ele weapon / Impale / Debilitate / Inner fire / Incap
Siphoning / Flex / Twisting path / Blockade / CA / Destro ult

Unfortunately im a sucker for themed builds. I used to play a cave shaman in daoc so I went with a poison build for my NB then it became meta and got nerfed.

As a healer main I’m talking about the major breach because my dds aren’t always great, but anyway...
