1) No I am not a forum's Cassandra ; I don't complain every patch ; so easy answer
.... when I tell everyone, is everyone I meet, I hear, I read ; complains on guild chat; zone chat, Discord, vocal conversations, are even worse than what you see on forums ; it's only the visible part of the Iceberg here.
Every day (and it's not an hyperbole), I receive news / message from more and more players, friends "I stop this game" ; "Sorry I couldn't join in raid anymore, this patch just killed the will" ; "I go back to WoW" etc ; raiding community is dying. That is a fact. I am playing since the beta ; I never saw such a situation.
2) Balanced game? LMAO ; ppl will play necro for those who don't stop ; we were happy to get some others classes in raid, some magicka dds.... ppl will abandon this variety. It was some End game guilds choice to go full necro but at least you had other choices ; not anymore.
3) Wall of Element : 4900 magicka.... nerfing the sustain by crazy numbers, such a poor way ; how will a tank manage it? Oh perhaps a tank should use only one sword and one shield.
4) that is nice to see people happy with the patch ; it will be nice to know their reasons, perhaps we could change our minds.
5) perhaps we are wrong ; but what I am speaking about here, it's the despite of Zos (so despising yes, sorry I am not english native) or at least how it feels for the players, and the silence. How can a company ignore so much negative flow? Yes, I see the game and the community I love are dying, and I feel sad. And I have now zero reason to give to people to convince them to stay. Everybody (everybody I KNOW) is depressed ; that is not the feeling we should have with a new patch.

But, surely no one can be OK with the increased costs that have smashed sustain on many builds and classes?
Can anyone explain how that is positive, or how its supposed to increase fun? Its a game, people want to use sparkly skills, its fun.
More experienced players will compensate by altering their build and including heavy attacks etc. But for the average casual gamer or new player, who just wants to have fun, use sparkly magic etc, this is going to hit them hard... which sadly seems to be an issue across several patches now.
I think the nerf to skills is okay but increasing the cost was not the right way to go about reducing the players damage in this game tbh.

Zos is quite active on the forum, as we can see by the numerous mods actions.
So why Zos? Are you despiting so much your players that you think that those who actually play this game understand nothing to your great picture? Are you despiting so much your players that you just absolutely don't care about the fact you're breaking all the fun? Are you not seeing the complains everywhere? How can you ignore so much your customers??
I really cannot understand.
And yes, one more post ; but they still not answer. Sometimes delete or close the threat ; but not answer.
The idea that the devs don't play their own game is ****ing hilarious to me. Granted, my perspective may be a bit warped, because I've actually met them, and run content in game with a few. But still.
That's explains why your opinon is so biased. You'd do them a better service by telling them the truth than warping your opinion to meet your "friends" needs. Bad is bad and if they get praise for bad work, then all that is getting done is polishing a turd.
Nah, my opinion is "biased" because I actually enjoy the game.
I also know some members of the team. I also know, for a fact, that they play.
Now., I realize this may be hard to grasp, but Rich, Finn, and Gina are genuinely likeable people in person.
Demoralizing. That's what this patch is.
Three patches in a row of blundering mistakes with a combat team that comes up with changes that seem like they rolled a six sided die to determine them.
And the worst part is that the combat team does not care about the common player. They said so, clearly. They wanted to lower the top end dps and did not care about how it effected the rest of the people playing the game. And compound that with that the combat team does not even do PvE content. (Can you believe that? The team that comes up with the rules for combat hates doing PvE. How were these guys put in charge of combat?)
So now we will have less people participating in end game activities. And we have people less excited about the game, just when some new games are coming on the market.
And what are the players left with, to redo their equipment to the new meta in the hopes that they will do 20%-25% less damage the they did before, if they are lucky. Yippee.
No, I don't. Even without adjusting anything I'm fine. If you care so much about some drop in DPS, why not adjust? Smh

In the future, please make some accommodation in your sweeping generalizations for people that may not feel the same way you do.
You're not mostly wrong. Lots of people ARE complaining about the patch. Just not absolutely everyone.
Yeah, I don't know where OP is getting off including me but count me out of that group. I am happy the spammy swing and dot meta is over. Now we have an opportunity to find other builds to run, which is the most fun things about the game imo.

Yeah, it's pretty obvious this is an attempt to level the playing field and to balance (which needed doing).
If people want sustain, they will just have to enchant for it and put up with each attack doing less damage.
If they do that and still can't sustain, to a reasonable extent, then of course they would then have every right to complain.
I think this patch is focusing on nerfing op skills, which was used by op players.
Now, OP players are angry, and the rest are happy.

Too bad the classes and specs that already dominated, don't need to do that. So we just widen the gap we already had.
