My 2 cents about Dragonhold

It's a pretty cool patch. I know it's frustrating with the combat changes back and forth but seriously no big damage done to anyone (just going back to spammable meta basically) and the patch overall is pretty cool.

First off kudos to the art team once again, area is pretty satisfying to the eye. Keep on the good stuff bois.

Then we got memory management overhaul, activity finder redo and a lot of cool improvements to dragons. Now i'm never too much into dragon hype but i was amazed yesterday when i fought an ice dragon in Southern Elsweyr. The atmosphere changes, the dragon doesn't just sit where it lands like an idiot, and they made a very cool improvement about the minion slayer achievements. So kudos, i'm satisfied.

One or two downsides if i must say. One is the begining of the Dragonguard quest. Not gonna dive into spoilers but it was so poorly written i don't know why. Would expect way better. Another bad side is of course shifting meta, but in the end it's nothing but swapping a few skills around in the most cases anyway.

A patch with some cool improvements, fixes and new additions instead of one with another broken arena? I'm all in. Cheers.

    I liked horse-stamina thing.

It is not drained like crazy anymore, which is more sensible.

*sigh* I'd be all in if it didn't completely ruin a couple of builds that I just redid for the last patch. The frustration and aggravation of having to remake builds every couple of months overshadows the good that they do by far. You know, like can't go enjoy the new queue system for BGs cause oh yeah, need to redo builds AGAIN

really liked this change as well, both fire and ice dragons had a great atmosphere in the fight and was visually brilliant.

Only fought 1 world boss but the one I fought was actually pretty difficult, Elsweyr was just an overland mob with more health and next to no chance of killing you but this one big cat with mini adds did a huge amount of damage and was a real challenge.

Overall, happy with patch in terms of zone, I found myself skipping quests after a few and not being interested tbh.

Combat I’m fine with too however think sustain changes is a bit too much. Hopefully we can settle for a few patches and don’t rip it back up next patch.

Haven’t tried group finder but interested to see how well the fix has gone as well.

Ah almost forgot that one, both mount and on foot sprint changes are amazing as well. I wish the regens where as fluid as the new stamina drain. It looks sooo much better.

The ice dragon actually made me say "oooo" out loud lol. I like that they move around now, even follow you (I had to kite one yesterday LOL) and the spell animations they do are pretty damn cool.

I like the stamima change. The zone is beautifully done and the new monsters are pretty cool, bristleboar and turtle/armadillo thing?

Started the questline at work but wanted to actually listen to dialog and was going to start last night BUT... as I was DLing the patch my cats/dogs unpugged my computer which made me have to do a repair and redownload by which time I was ready to sleep *cries*

Lucky Cat Inn is pretty cool too, but the item count has to increase with all that outdoor area to decorate. Gonna buy Potentate Retreat first tho.

I agree about the Dragonguard quest. I'm still not far in, but there's a part where you talk to one NPC, they send you to another area to talk to someone, then you go back to the first area to talk to someone, and back again. That's just lazy writing, and it's incredibly boring.

The fire khajiit boss is nuts, one shotting 8 people at once including a tank with 46K health

    Here's another 2 cents worth:

The last dragon fight of the main quest was pretty cool. The quest itself was long, grinding, and boring. Nothing here makes me want to return other than a crafting survey.

The changes to stamina and sprint, while welcome, were about "amazing" as realizing your car doesn't run well on flat tires. Nice they finally got a clue

The never ending nerfs and "adjustments" and having to rebuild your skills and rotations every 3 months is a pretty sad statement for game that's 5 years old. I guess it's to be expected when the lead combat dev is a PVP guy obsessed with the impossible goal of balance and you're hiring staff from YouTube.

This latest round of extreme nerfs will have a far more negative affect on medium to lower tier players as opposed to the 100K mini-group (whom ZOS seems overly impressed with). They've already stated combat issues of the common player is not their concern. Alrighty then. Ain't that special.

    Artwork was stellar, as usual.

    I'd give it a 3/10
