Opinion: Worst DLC

1. No new furnishing patterns. W.T.F. So many items that would have been great, but we get none of it.
2. Most pointlessly irritating puzzles, and a "run away" escape that the only reason I made it out was I happened to be on my farmer who's wearing Coward's Gear.
3. NO ACHIEVEMENT FURNISHINGS UNTIL AFTER COMPLETING 20 DAILIES???? And it's not even the city dailies, it's the Dragonguard dailies!

What in Oblivion made the team decide this was a good idea? Are you TRYING to drive players away??? ESO does not need to be WoW. In fact, if that's the way ESO is going, I am out. Screwing over the housing community, the ones being continually bilked for real life money bc houses cannot be gifted and so many furnishings aren't available for gold, is how you *** people off.

20 dailies are a lot better than 50, or 100.

You know... there are no new furnishing patterns to sell. The only good sets are crafted. All that can be sold is the Dragonguard motif... and now that will drop in price even faster.

This is not how I want to play. I didn't look at achivement furnishings on PTS because I didn't want to spoil the main quest... when the reality was no one could even see them!

You didn't have to do that just to see what the achivement furnishings ARE in Summerset... just to get the coolest one.
This is utterly uncalled for and ridiculous.

Well, the dlc itself isnt too bad, though I would like to see a new arena and new furnishing recipes (like you said, there's a bunch of unobtainable items and I would love to see new stuff). If it wasnt packed with another nerf patch I'd even say I like it.

Still, it sets a bad precedent. In all previous dlcs you could preview everything right from the start.

Um, have you been under a rock? That the Dragonguard exists has been all over the promotional materials, that there are dailies for the Dragonguard has been known, on the PTS etc.

Did I mention story? Nope. Any plotlines? Nope. You're just trying to squash discussion. If you call this "spoilers" you should probably never come on these forums, ever.

    I'll spoil @TylerB's answer:

    PUZZLES EXIST

You probably needed to know about that escape sequence honestly.

Question: Since one of the new crafted sets can only be crafted after you reach a certain point in a quest, does that mean that if the crafting stations are attuned and placed in the guild hall, that users will be blocked from them if they haven't completed the quest, or will anybody be able to use them once the person attuning them has completed the quest?

I played there long enough to learn that my werewolves are now even more of a joke. Oh well, more skill points to redistribute I guess.

    .

Probably not, no one is blocked from using the Earthforge or Eyevea sets if they haven't completed Fighters and Mages guild questlines. I don't know because none of my guilds have the set yet...

Everything they do, is to drive their players away, why the fracking are players playing this game.
For fracking sake, stop playing this game already, their trying their damn best to drive you away.
At least it will help those that stay and play to have better ping, less players equals better ping?
    Whatever.

The dlc itself isnt that amazing due to teh fact that much of their time was spent on other improvements, rewriting the group finder code, memory and background enhancements and other things are probably taking a fair amount of manpower. That said.. There were amny good improvements to the game bar the sustain nerfs it was a pretty fair patch. PTS was a nightmare but they slowly adjusted the changes and things came out FAR better than they could have been.

I'm not talking about combat here, since you didn't read the OP. I'm talking about the ridiculous lack of anything related to housing.

The zone is beautiful, and I'm quite pleased with the combat changes. Most of my charcters play better now. I've also had the fewest problems of any release post-patch (tho, this doesn't seem to be the case for most players).

What I am livid about is that housing was dropped off a cliff for this entire year. Elsweyr chapter had far fewer furnishing recipes than Summerset or Morrowind. CWC and Murkmire had their own plans, Southern Elsweyr does not. The only new furnishing is some re-colored ivy (that should have been in Summerset). And we aren't even allowed to SEE the achivement furnishings, which means they are probably crap.

If you can't tell, my main motivation is housing. Which has been completely dumped on by ZOS because I guess someone thought they could get more blood (money) from a stone?

I was irritated to learn that the necro character I don't like that I did Elswyr on had to be the one to do this quest. Which is not my crafter, so unlocking the Armory (which requires dailies) would have to be done twice. Thank goodness for well stocked guild halls. I can skip it. Besides, I've already done this story more than once
when I investigated why dragons had returned to Nirn and with the help of an old dragon became the chosen one who destroyed the evil dragon who wanted to kill the world... in Skyrim.

So yes... not a good DLC, IMO. Even Murkmire was better.

The DLC is definitely light on content. The argument from most people seems to be "they have all hands on deck working on improving performance". I don't buy that since different teams work on different things, but we'll see what happens.

That's like getting a job for a certain pay and the manager telling you you have to understand him for not giving you all of it because he's got other things he needs to work on with that money. You're not going to keep working for him, you're going to move someplace else where you get what you're told.
