eh, I leave mine summoned all the time, he's an alt and i only use him for getting the crafting mail every day, so he just sits in the bank. you can deal with him for 4 seconds. also I myself have NEVER in 3k hours of playing have found some one else's pet to be in my way, all yall just seem to have problems with everything.

All pets need to be removed from the game and anyone who has ever used them, even if it was just for a second, should be banned.

Does the cliff racer skill count as a pet?

Btw those pet dismiss addons I mentioned ^^^ are super helpful in trials. Vhrc for example, before I made a sorc or warden, I could never have counted how many times I saw people's pets pull the boss. Now that I have some pet toons, it's automatic for me, after the mid mob, hit the Del key, go upstairs and all is fine, my pets have never wiped the group pulling the boss. I can resummon the pets when the tank starts the fight properly. :)
Longtimer since beta, the usual. 26 CP toons. ~1700cp on main account, 1000cp on 2nd account. Endgame-ish lol. Most Vets / some HM's cleared.

They should be made illegal in towns. On a logical level, Summoning Demons is worse than raising the dead, in my opinion. It is illegal to trespass, steal, pickpocket and attack people in town and I personally feel attacked when I have to look at those unsightly things crowd the social places. Those arguing it would change precedents set since launch must not have noticed how literally every other skill has been patch-warped into another dimension.

No, it's just a pet shaped projectile. Only permanent pets require permanent bans.

Just make it so you can click through them.
Imagine being the dev who thought it was ok that I can't click loot through my bear? Gross!

just make it an automatic process to desummon pets when entering a city and they're automatically resummoned upon leaving.

meh Just remove their hit box from being seen by other players in non PvP areas. That way even if they are in the way we target whatever is behind them, allowing us to turn in our writs, quests, use the banker, merchant, npc they would otherwise be blocking.

If you really want something done about it, form a guild with people who also want it changed. Everyone in that guild get your Wardens and Sorcs, port to each other in Vivic or Rimmen, at some point the original instance of the zone will become full and others will be porting into a new version of the zone. Keep it up till everyone in guild is in multiple versions. Do this daily at 12am EST, have everyone stand in front of writ turn ins. with pets blocking...... Wait for the complaints to come rolling in.

Why not just shrink them? I know that ANYTHING that "changes" them is a big undertaking, but "shrinking" should be the less painful of them.

I never understood why they were so large. They should be the size say from the shoulder to slightly above the head and be placed just above and left of the head at the height of the shoulder.

That's my suggestion, but I am well aware.. NOTHING is as simple as it seems in these games. So many dependencies.

As someone who spends far to many hours in this game each week for the past five and a half years I do not see this issue being such a big issue. It is rare I am blocked by a pet to begin with and when I am it is usually resolved with a step in one direction of another.

idk, maybe I notice them and approach a crafting table or wayshrine so they are not in my way but I just do not see this as a the major issue OP seems to find it to me. I guess it is just a difference of what we choose to focus on that leads to this very different impression.

Once in a while another player's pet will block me from looting things.

Typical example would be someone camping the wayshrine near the North West dragon, in Elsweyr.

There are containers there and I always try to loot them before, or after, fighting the dragon.

But, it's pretty rare that you are permanently, or seriously, blocked from looting by a pet.

Exactly my point. This seems to be such a rare occurrence. Heck, even when the pet sorc build has been so great half the dps in a raid were running pets I cannot recall an issue looting.

I just think there is a very long list of things that need Zos' attention before pets occasionally truly blocking access to something.

I wonder if there's much a difference between console/controller users and pc users. It's not rare at all using game pad mode. It happens at least once per day where on at least one of my 24 toons a warden bear is blocking either enchanting or alchemy writ and there is no possible hit box till the warden moves. Also access to banker in vivic can be a pain in the ass, but thankfully the banker on the other side is usually clear when the one is full of people with pets.

Just because the issue is rare for some doesn't mean it's rare for all.

If going to that extreme, might as well make all abilities and mount inaccessible in any and all towns, large and small, and abilities become active when at least 150m away from the town/village.

Its either this or nothing at all. If, looking after the feelings of a tiny handful, might as well take away everything to ensure no one gets frustrated by everything.

I wish they would offer a cosmetic fix to this, like offering smaller skins or something that would reduce the size of the pets even IF they ban them in towns. I actually dislike the size of the sorc pets in dungeons, especially the one with the flapping wings.

If imps can cast illusions on themselves to look like baby dragons, then the same logic could be applied to the daedra to make them look like something different/smaller

Ok so you ban players from using pets because you can't switch to first person or take 1sec and move your mouse? No.

Also precedents are changed due to combat or glitches, not because you feel bad seeing other players play.
