Is 10 days enough time to do everything for the Witch's Festival?

For someone who hasn't done anything during the event (not me, but new players), trying to do all the achievements in 10 days seems impossible.

    1. Learning all hollowjack,
    2. Learning all Dremora style
    3. Kill 100 skeles
    4. Get a unique plunderskull for each type (requires arena, trial, delve, dungeon, world boss, etc)
    5. Consume 10 Marionette parts
    6. Complete wichmother's quest
    7. Earn 100 Plunderskulls (farm for at least a day)
    8. Eat (and learn recipes) for each food during wiches festva (8 recipes)
    9. Complete 28 Withes festival writs
    10. Eat 3 more foods (more recipes)

Plus all the quests and "Use cauldron 10 times" but those are easier.

Didn't we used to get more time to do these? I feel rushed, even with only the new ones. God forbid I want to try getting an alt through some of these.

Why are you looking at this as if everything on this list is all individual things to do? Park yourself in a delve, at least the one up north in Auridon, every 5 minutes the boss respawns and you get a skull. That's about 8 1/2 hours to get 100 (not 'at least a day') INside the skull will be your motifs. That's 100 chances to get motifs. You can't help but get the majority of them - and thats just for one character. Park another one in there that you want to have the 100 skull achievement - bingo 100 more motifs. You will be giving them away. Additionally, ALL the recipes show up inside those skulls.

So any motifs you dont get in 100 (8 1/2 hours) or 200 skulls you can usually trade for with other people at your location or find for cheap on trader.

The cauldron - Not entirely sure, but I do not think you have to wait for the 2 hours to expire to use it again, especially since you can just hit 'C' and deactivate it, so you look normal and not like a skeleton. The XP bonus continues, but you do not have to wait until the bonus expires to reactivate it. Take another drink, it refreshes to 2 hours and you are a skeleton again. So, 10 uses should not be all that hard to accomplish.

Everything is interconnected. It's never been a big deal in the past, so it should not be a big deal this year.

    IMHO

Exactly what will I miss if I don't do nMA (I despise that) and Trials? Just an achievement or some style/motif/recipie?

    Dremora Plunder Skulls contain:
Specific Dremora Motifs based on content
    Witches Festival Writs (28 needed)
    Glenmoril Armor Outfit Styles
Glenmoril Treasure Maps (weapon out fit styles)

You'll miss nothing if you are willing to buy the missing motifs, writs, maps, and outfit styles from the Dremora Plunder Skulls from guild stores.

If you aren't willing to, you'll miss out on:
Arenas (Maelstrom, Dragonstar, probably Black Rose): Dremora Legs & Bows
    Trials: Dremora Chests and Swords
For everything else, you'll only get five chances to obtain them per day instead of seven.

Here's the PTS notes from when they ran the festival if you need specifics on the new rewards: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/485222/pts-patch-notes-v5-1-1

I'll be polishing off a few things I didn't finish last year, then start new things. Maybe I'll finish this year's new things next year. 😜

I didn't get all the achievements needed to qualify for the house during my first Witches Festival. But during my second Witches Festival I finished them off and got the house on the NA server.

On the EU server, last year was my first Witches Festival, so this year I'm hoping to finish the achievements.

There's no reason you absolutely must do them all during your first festival.

Assuming it hasn't been changed from last year? Correct.

Bows and Legs only come from Arenas (so, DSA, MA, and BRP), though you can get those on normal, it does not have to be vet.

Chests and Swords only come from Trials. Again, those are available on normal, you don't need to clear vet to get them.

Can you get dremora plunderskulls once per day, per character?

No, it's was once per day, per account. I wound up parking different characters at a dolmen, delve boss, and world boss just to minimize running around.

We'll have to pay attention to the reset timer as well. IIRC, last year ZOS used the 20 hr reset and it was a mess.

Be careful which character you do your Witches Festival writs with. While the hat goes into your collections and is available on all characters, the title "Witch" is only going to be on the character that did the 28 writs and not on any other characters.

The Dremora style pages that drop in Dungeons / Arenas / Trials will be on sale in the guild store too, so no worries there.

Witchfest is on PTS again now if you want to have some fun.

We'll have to pay attention to the reset timer as well. IIRC, last year ZOS used the 20 hr reset and it was a mess.

A few weeks ago, I started putting together a list of all the events (meaning the ones with event tickets, not the festivals that existed before the events) to see how many tickets I could have earned if I'd played every single event and didn't miss any of the tickets.

According to the news releases for all events except the very first one, each event had a daily reset of 6 AM GMT (or 1 AM EST, 2 AM EDT) as far as earning the tickets, even the events where the tickets were earned by doing content (dungeons, etc.) that has the 20-hour cool-down.

As far as the very first event, I believe it also adhered to the 6 AM GMT rollover time, although there was no mention of it in the news release.

So it might be best to stick to the ticket rollover time, rather than trying to go by the 20-hour cool-down and possibly ending up screwing yourself over.

I wonder if ZOS takes into account that many people travel (visit family etc.) during events like witches festival or new life festival (overlapping with RL holidays) and they have neither time nor opportunity to even log into the game.

I love how your family counts Halloween as an actual holiday. Adopt me?

After seeing the Glenmoril Outfit and Weapon style I definitely don't think there's enough days to do all of this.

But alas it seems there's nothing that can be done at this point. ZOS obviously thinks this is fine.

Reporting in - I had none of these achievements at the start of the event and completed all of them as of today, so it's doable. But it did eat some time.
