Vampires Online

Does anybody have a feeling that after the patch with all the sustain nerfs Tamriel will be populated by mostly vampires?
At least I am pretty sure all the magicka chars will just have to be vampires for that sustain boost.

Play as you like, as long as you are a vampire.

The extra damage is a non-problem in PvE. There are maybe two trials where it's advised to lower your vampire stage but other than those it's mostly a joke.

No one knows how the tide will shift with the new patch, but as of right now- there aren't that many negatives to running as a vampire.
You're currently more likely to come across players running Clever Alchemist+Onslaught over Dawn Breaker and as for fire damage... you can easily stay stage two to get the bonus regen and only suffer an addition +7% fire damage.

No, there are lots of vampires now — players who like the concept and those that will do any- and everything to min-max.

Those of us not into that sort of thing will never become one, no matter the numbers. *loads silverbolt crossbow* B)

The people who would be a vampire for the stat bonus, were already vampires (after all, there've already been rounds of "omg, no!" sustain nerfs. Which ended up not being quite so "omg, no!").

The people who aren't vampires, wouldn't be a vampire if it generated crowns.

My characters are not vampires, didn't really want them to be vampires, but i ve recently started trials and if i can't sustain the will be made vampires. So at least for me and i imagine people like me several of the statements above are wrong.

The only thing that would make more of my characters become vampires is if the tattoos didn't look like crap.

Exactly. My characters that have been vampires still are. The ones that are not will not become one after next week. I do raid on some characters that are not vamps.

Well... if this is "something" online, it is definitely not Werewolves. Despite small tiny changes they got in Dragonhold, it is still a nerf vs life server. And we already know how rare sight WW is post scale gamebreaker...

The moment ZOS adds "hide vampirism" option / skin, will be the moment vampire population will jump from 70% to 99%.

Get yourself some magdk and burn them to ashes. Be the solution, not the problem ;)
It cannot be seen, cannot be felt,
Cannot be heard, cannot be smelt,
It lies behind stars and under hills,
    And empty holes it fills,
It comes first and follows after,
    Ends life, kills laughter.

Dunmer fire damage mitigation is only around 4%. If someone is going vampire for recovery they're not going to give up being a Breton to mitigate such a small amount of damage.

That 10% extra recovery isn't worth the extra damage you take as a vampire right now at least in PVP.

It's literally just a free 10% regen boost in PvE. The extra fire damage is irrelevant there.

Yes. I actually dislike vampires, in any game, as a whole and so none of my characters are vampires, and before it was not an issue. Now from parsing I see that every, even small part of regen will count. So probably now I will make my main dps character a vampire, wear skin and pretend that she is not vampire. What a BS.
That 10% extra recovery isn't worth the extra damage you take as a vampire right now at least in PVP.

Yeah, but you are probably forgetting about undeath passive. So though vampires are hard countered by magDK and some ultimates, against stam characters, vampires are in HUGE advantage.

Really, ZOS should give vampire WW treatment - separate skill line and vampire lord form, with no passives in human form other then regen for slotted ultimate and also remove stages and keep stage1 look.

I dont think so, just adjust your build properly, you are going to lose a bit of dmg but thats ok.. 10% Mag/stam regen isnt that much. Im ok even in noCp pvp

It is my impression that there are already an awful lot of vampires running around! A large percent of the meta builds that many use already advise being a vampire for the regen buff, and occasionally some of the skills.

Personally I only have 2 vampires (from 15 characters and counting), one is a Necromancer tank and it just made sense from a RP perspective as well as gaining the buff to defense. The other is a Dark Elf Templar and it just made sense for the sustain as the build needed a bit more, and who cares about fire damage when youre a Dunmer :)
