    The 'play as you like' has always been marketing BS, and most likely always will be - at least from an optimal performance perspective (versus capable of completing most solo content).

    And I think most min / max types are already vampires, which is already idiotic (not min / max types being vampires, but the developers allowing a secondary RP / appearance skill line sold in the cash shop to be optimal for min / max).

    The extra damage is a non-problem in PvE. There are maybe two trials where it's advised to lower your vampire stage but other than those it's mostly a joke.

    actually, fire damage is the most common type of damage in pve also. hof, AS, CR, hel ra, havent done SS but its got dragons so i would assume. Theres also fire in mva, dsa is all fire last boss, have only done blackrose one but i remember some fire. Dungeons coa1-2, scalecaller, bloodroot.

    alot of fire damage in pve

    No doubt. And boy do I miss it when I play a non-Dunmer. I'm running around wondering why is my health taking such a hit before I remember 'oh not a dunmer right now.' lol.
