I'm guilty of this myself because I used to post a lot of "we want a house in a ship" before we actually got one. But it was kind of true that many, many, many people wanted a house in a ship. And it's kind of obvious from reading forums that many, many people dislike RNG-based mini-games, especially if they involve RL money.

If you had said: we need More mini games!
Then yes, they would be nice. Lockpicking is a mini game for example. We could have a mini game in taverns or outlaw refuges with NPCs. They Already have some silly racing game in Reaper’s March, something More like that is also good. I would be nice if the rewards were only gold and trash but randomly you’d get a pouch that contained a furnishing (Dice or cards).
I'd like that. Would be nice with some non quest minigames we could do for small ingame rewards such as furniture, unlocking some achievment that rewards a dye and so on. Just silly fun we can do whenever.

SWTOR's periodic casino event (which is generally quite popular because of the interesting rewards) is nothing compared to the entire mini-game and lottery ticket zone in FFXIV.
It's out there. It just has to be done "right".
Last time I checked that in SWTOR, and the time before, it was fairly empty. It may have been populate when the first added it but the interests waned into something pretty sad.

In this game there are: assassins, thieves, anti-humankind-inmoral-decisions, and ... chicken murderers !!!
And you say "no" to an ingame dice game?
Pffffff.
Really hypocrites !!!
Think about a Thieves Den or an Otlaws Refuge ...
The most ideal place to gamblers !!!
Obviously, betting wih gold or another ad-hoc money.
I'm sure is a good idea, at least for us, 100 active members guild.
Is better than the stupid guild lottos.

Wrong game.
I'd love to have mini games and such added to taverns and such. Even checkers and chess and even a card game like the witcher has. We need more reasons to bring players together in taverns and such to make the towns even more alive.Even Red Dead Redemption had some fun games. Some night I don't feel like doing quests or doing pvp. I'd like to hang out in a fantasy environment, grab a drink, play some cards, and maybe meet some folks. MMOS are supposed to be social games. What really bothers me is the 1st page of responses are all negative toward someone, I'm assuming, is talking about adding more social areas for mini games and not crown crate like BS. After 20+ years of MMOs, I'd love to see some different content and not just more of the same ole pve/pvp

Nah, gambling is just boring and annoying. I don't pay money to be bored. There's real life for that

Variety is the enemy of boring and gambling is own of rogues.
Better than killing chickens and pigs from innocent farmers.

I killed a chicken once in Skyrim, then loaded an earlier save. Since then, my hands have been clean of virtual livvestock blood. IRL, goats and chickens are pretty tasty--especially in a nice curry or vindaloo. Pixels, meh. They taste like protons

Of course, of course ... but everyone kill goats ... not for curry ... only for "¿stupid?" fun ???
When you get that goal ... better a few gambling for a treasure, some gold or some half-digested bag.
May be, the loot is better than guts.
Safe goats by gambling !!!
