I don't think most people want it so probably not a full DLC. I am one of those odd people who likes this sort of thing. In KOTOR I got addicted to pazaak. I'd love the chance to gamble to gain extra gold especially if you had the chance to win big. It would be cool if you could win crowns too. It should definitely be an optional thing though because a lot of people won't want to play it.

I like gambling. I think it would be fun it done right. Most of the game is one big RNG slot machine anyways...why not have a chance to win things?

But some kinda card game or "mini game" that you could play against a friend, maybe as a furnishing, wouldn't be a bad idea

No devs in their right mind would touch something like this in the current climate. Especially with all the recent press about loot boxes. Would be a PR disaster.

SWTOR's periodic casino event (which is generally quite popular because of the interesting rewards) is nothing compared to the entire mini-game and lottery ticket zone in FFXIV.

It's out there. It just has to be done "right".

I understand that you may want such a feature, but can you please say "I want" instead of "we want"... ?

I'm guilty of this myself because I used to post a lot of "we want a house in a ship" before we actually got one. But it was kind of true that many, many, many people wanted a house in a ship. And it's kind of obvious from reading forums that many, many people dislike RNG-based mini-games, especially if they involve RL money.

Yeah, pretty much the only way any casino, gambling, or other player-to-player in-world games would see the light of day is if it can be monetized so that ZOS can make boatloads of money off of it. Given the legal climate, that won't happen, so it won't happen.

Well, I don't like gambling and the crown crates should be illegal. However, as addicting as this kind of game mechanic might be it would provide a decent gold sink, causing deflation and increasing the purchasing power of my gold - which I am not going to gamble away

Last time I checked that in SWTOR, and the time before, it was fairly empty. It may have been populate when the first added it but the interests waned into something pretty sad.

I don't buy crown crates and you won't find me in a casino but I think it would be a neat feature for the game as long as long as it is for gold ( not real money ).

Did you mean: Crown Crates.
Seriously just run these events yourself, I don't need ZOS creating an in-game gambling system because they already did it with those things and look at how bad the odds are.
Just lookup crowncrates drop rates in google if you really don't know, but it's something like a 17% chance per crate to even get a bonus card and then that has a lower % chance to be a good reward.
