place in wayrest you could kill npc's and loot the bodies. No guards to catch you so your bounty doesnt matter. Was a good way to farm ledgerman or make some money. Guild use to do it as a fun event every now and again to hangout and get items to lvl up ledgerman. Has been there at least since i started playing
but... they added guards now -_-

And don't forget to take the boat to Daven(?) since that gives you a whole new boat to look and when you go back to Daggerfall, the boat mostly respawns.0 -

That quest house in Vvardenfell with tons and tons of kegs and wine racks is pretty good too. Only 3 npcs to Blade of Woe and you have the run of the house.0 -

I don't think many people would argue with you on this point. Having said that, the spot is still farmable and there's spots where you can lose the guards, you just have to be more on top of things.0 -

✭Glad I got my legerdemain and thieving achievements on my main already. I'm not surprised this happened though - ZOS likes to nerf things that make the grind a bit more reasonable, and this being a quest area - it's comes with an easy excuse. I would not be surprised if some of the other well known areas were next.

But this is a welcome change, I found it rather vexing when I went a-questing there on some alt and found the whole place murderdeathkilled by legerdemain grinders wanting to get their mass murdering on without chance of the usual guard interruptions the developers intended... one could say, this was them closing an sort-of-exploit...
As for legerdemain... as others have mentioned, its easy enough. There are several places to steal unobserved, there are several more places where you can pickpocket to your hearts content and still easily escape if caught (getting THAT achievement too on the easy), and the lifestock mass murder options are open to everyone as well... not to mention all that treasure chest lockpicking you could so, in some maps they are rather easy to find on a circuit...

✭✭✭✭✭Let's be realistic..... nobody went there to level Legerdemain. You can only sell a fixed amount of items per day to a fence. It was a gold grind, plain and simple. Trash all the white treasures, and even the greens if your bags get too full. And it can't really be called an exploit, as you can kill hundreds of mobs in any city in any zone as you please. It was just one of the most convenient spots to play the game as ZOS designed it.

Because someone that murders pixel people in a video game automatically want to murder people in real life?
Millions of people play video games where they kill npcs or pixel versions of other people (ie PvP) every day. I've been doing it for 30+ years. Never contemplated murdering someone in real life because I know the difference and can seperate real life from a video game.
