I totally get that things need to be fixed, or whatever, but, we just get used to playing a character, or learn a playstyle and then poof. Can we just find a happy medium across the board and stick to it for a while …. You are taking the fun out of the game with all this constant change … please .. I am a day 1 player to this company and all its games... I love this game, but, I am just tired of having to spend gold and time constantly changing toons to fix what you have taken or given …

It won't. ZOS has been balancing the game via Horizontal Progression since One Tamriel.

I somewhat suspect that someone feels the need to justify himself and his position, and once that's done, gameplay updates might go to what they always should have been, minor tweaks to smooth out the balance rather than a feeling of change for change's sake.

But that's just a suspicion. Who knows where the truth lies?

i think posts such as these are actually zos mentally preparing you for less frequent future updates.

i mean lets face it what costs more:

a new armor set which can come with any of the quarterly updates or switching out a few skills?

I can assure you, I am not ZOS …

I mean seriously, this next patch.. they are nearly putting back stuff they took away 2 and 3 patches ago !!! In the case of the Pet Sorc, which a lot of us quit playing because of the 60% taken away, I know it is only 20%, but, still …

It is so frustrating, and expensive, every single patch, it seems … :(

I agree. New software development teams, particularly with new leads, typically feel compelled to come up with big ideas and changes to justify their new positions...and their new paychecks.

This back and forth nonsense is a hallmark of people that don't truly have firm grasp on what they're trying to accomplish. Unfortunately, developers in these situations are typically the last ones to get a clue. So we're all left to deal with whatever big idea gets thrown at the wall next.

Players who enjoy combat are sick of it. But until it starts to cost ZOS real money, we're likely stuck with the nonsense.
