There is a new 30-day CP campaign (no faction lock) coming when Update 24 drops.

You really think that people are going to play on that? It's the same as the 7 day campaign just with another 23 days added onto it. The game's pvp population is too small for that.
Having a campaign and having population are 2 diff things one dont work without the other

Are you really complaining about getting exactly what players opposed to faction-lock are getting?
With all the sweet rewards that come with a 30-day campaign including the 50-stone transmute geodes??
Looks like someone wants to force other players to play their playstyle ...

guess faction lock pretty popular then, eh?

- Scroll trolling (carrying it directly to your enemy "friend's base", or just farming AP using scroll as a bait and not carrying it home).
- Team switching to winning side.
- Score board rigging.
I would add more, like night / morning capping - this one can not be simply fix by a faction lock. The only thing that could, would be score based on populations (you capped enemy keeps when they got 0 population, you get less potential points etc.)
Playing for AP and not to actually win the campaign is also an issue. Not an exploit or anything, it is just a sad state Cyro PvP is at.

I know I am beating a dead horse at this point but for the love of everything that is whole can we please get rid of faction locks? It is killing PvP. One faction utterly dominates and kills pvp. I can't swap to another alliance to fight the majority because I'm stuck on DC (just using this as an example). I would also like to ya know...play with my friends.... The introduction of One Tamerial allowed us to do so. Now I am just sitting at the gates most of the time I am on to play. It's been 4 months of this Zos. Time to revert your changes!

The 7 day campaigns have never been very populated so it is not the same. We will have a bona fide choice between faction locks or not and we will be able to see what the larger population of the game is truly interested in. This is a good change and so no one is forced to play locked or not.
I am 100% with @Lyar09 on this one.
Sadly, so many people just ignore our explanations though.
I can talk 9000 times about how the population is small and having two populated campaigns is not possible, and how people will always go to where they believe the majority will go, or to whatever campaign is listed first on the campaign selection.
But people will still go "YoU hAvE tHe 7 DaY" or now "YoU hAvE a NoN lOcKeD cAmPaIgn" without taking a second to listen and maybe understand that unless ZOS put the non locked campaign first on the list and reset the current homed campaigns, it will continue being dead not due to no-lock being unpopular but due to people going where they're currently listed and where they are used to.

Well, if people want to play without faction locks, it will be popular.
If people don't, it won't be. Again, I don't see a problem here.
What's wrong with having a choice?
Some conjecture on my part: People opposed to faction locks want everyone else to play without faction locks.
The problem with the current 7 day concept is that population is too low in pvp. People dont go to that campaign because the map is controlled by one faction and they dont want to try and get keeps for fights so they just end up queuing for the main (and really only) 30 day campaign. The population is so low that even the 30 day no-cp campaign doesnt get pop locked most of the time. Face it, this game's pvp population is getting smaller and faction locks are killing the population even further.
