Disable CP option for pve zones.

I would like to be able to disable cp sometimes in pve zones for more of a challenge when I'm collecting nodes or questing. I would like to be able to do it without spending 6k to manually uncheck and recheck all my points. Make it happen devs. Could put it in settings to disable cp points under combat or gameplay. Pretty preez.

There are lots of ways to self gimp. The easiest, and cheapest is to use non set gear. Off level even more so.

Lol really? All I said is I would buy something from the crown store if they did this. Having the option to simply disable cp has nothing to do with real money.. why are you so against this? Sure I could do bad gear. But maybe I also want to see how I do in no cp with my current gear without going to pvp.. lol dont be a hater.

Lol, uh-oh. Did I inadvertently just start a nerf nightblade thread.? I swear to you I didn't mean too.. All I wanted was a convenient way to challenge myself in pve to make it interesting. Especially with pvp being so broken. I apologize if anyone misunderstood. And if the devs are watching and consider this a nerf thread, then I only need to disable cp for my templar. 🤣

If the many complainers are truly troubled by lack of challenge in PvE zones being able easily to disable CP seems like an easy and inexpensive option. Much less muss and fuss than using special gear and much less costly than disabling passives. I might even assign CP to leveling alts so that they could do group content, if it could be easily turned off. As it is, they get their CP as a reward for turning 50.

You get an awesome for the constructive post. But I am a little hurt that you classified me as a complainer for this thread. I was just thinking how convenient it would be to be able to disable cp with one click for no gold. I like my cp by the way, it's what sustains me in my battles. I honestly thought the community would be for this simple option, but oh well. It doesn't hurt anyone. To each their own.

I have leveled alts where I have not allocated CPs. It does not make all that much of a difference.

You want weak, put L20 or L30 gear on your champ ranked character. Even set gear. You will be weak. Heck leave off the enchantments too.

Alts have always felt overbuffed, I found out that armor actually gets weaker as you level up. But I'm not talking about alts and with no cp I definitely feel the difference, especially with my sustain. And sure I can get l20 or whatever gear to make it more challenging, or even completely take my gear off and just use weapons. I know plenty of ways. But I'll ask again, why are you so against a simple disable cp option?

What disabling cp will do is tell me how my gear will hold up in no cp pvp without having to que for bgs or look for a fight in the no cp barren wasteland cyrodiil. And when I just want a pve challenge it's much simpler to click a setting to disable cp for self then to lug around extra gear that makes you have to go into town and get rid of loot quicker when you are harvesting nodes or questing.

I didn't think of you as a complainer. I was thinking of numerous other threads on the topic which lacked simple, constructive suggestions for how to make the game more challenging for them without having any negative impact on others.

Could of started with that will never happen argument. You just sounded so against it from the start. However, I definitely understand the zos wont come through part, they have a horrible track record. But way to be a negative nestor on this. Toodles.

The option is there It just costs some gold. Addons can save your cp allocations so just clear the cp when you want a challenge and use an addon for easy allocations after. Gold Is really easy to come by through just playing the game so because doing it your own is actually very easy and there already are options to do so with minimal effort I doubt that implementing a feature like this would ever see the light of day over things like optimization or content in terms of things like testing and possible bugs taking up more development time than you would think. I'm neither for it nor against it, It is something you could already do so its not something they would bother with any time soon.

Dunno... more options sounds good until I consider that dev resources would have to be spent to bring it about. I'd rather see the resources spent elsewhere. Personally, though I have punched my way through FG1 solo just to see how it would go, I've never even been tempted (...til now) to drop my weapons for overland content. I think the market would be too small to justify the investment this idea would require, and the inevitable 20 bugs that it would cause make it unappealing.

I actually agree with this and i might have people kicking off at me for saying this.
Please appreciate it is just my opinion and I have zero power to make it happen.

I feel that CP should only be active in dungeons, I think this is the best way for the developer to make changes that don't effect PVP/PVE with every change. At the moment they have an impossible task.

Besides the above i just want to find the world threatening again, it is so much more engaging to explore and quest when it presents a challenge. As much as I love hunting a soloing world bosses I miss bringing them down with fellow adventurers.
We can quest anywhere at any level, but have no incentive to passed CP 160. Have you done a quest lately? they are so good and they are ruined by the fact we can all one hit the enemy at it's dramatic conclusion

I predominantly just PVP so maybe keep CP Cyrodiil, to keep eveyone happy. I personally prefer non CP PVP, ever had a 20 minute fight?

I still keep my (now very old) slave gear that I had as a soulshriven in Coldharbour. So if you still have that, you can use it, or just start naked with a level 1 weapon, and just equip the gear you find in boxes and from drops. It is fun especially if you disable the outfit, because you will look quite funny with the random gear you get.

But to me the overland combat is just a chore, there is no element that would make me want this combat take more time, so I really don't understand the people who want this content to be buffed up. I would agree if the fights would be interesting like in Divinity Original Sin games, where each fight require some strategy or tactical planning. Here the abilities the mobs throw at you are quite limited, they have the same spells and melee attacks all over the world, so why would you want this to take any longer? Like every melee thug has the same annoying stun (they throw some vine at you that stuns you), or the archers have those arrow sprays and "torch it" combo that I have seen to much now. Unless the mobs will have more abilities, more mechanics, I do not want them buffed up.. they are stupid enough and more an annoyance than anything.
