I generally loot everything that drops, and then sort it out at the end of the play session: sell to NPC, decon, or sell on guild store. I got my first 2 tickets yesterday from a dragon and also one of the golden boxes. The subsequent ones (I killed 2 more for the daily quest) didn't drop anything extra. For me adding tickets all over the place is a bit weird though. Other events were much more certain events like activate X or turn on quest Y or kill Z.

ZOS had good intentions, but a poor implementation. Event tickets should be auto looted into the currency tab when you get them.

As for the event, there's a big, clear notice saying how it all works. It specifically says to make sure you loot everything you kill. Some people just go through life needing their hand held all the time.

there is a known, all too common bug where the body appears lootable, yet out of reach. the game has been absolutely plagued with crashes from the start of the event. you could be accidentally killing a random critter and not even realize it had your tickets on it. there is a number of reasons why people may not be able to loot right away, or at all.

IMO they should have never tied tickets to loot in a first place.

Oh, that's you getting robbed... the other person was the jerk in that case! Now, I actually don't mind so much when people leave things behind in chests, because at least I usually get something decent out of it, if not as good as a whole chest's worth of contents. But the people who leave behind just worms... so much rage. I mean, honestly, even if you don't have the crafting bag, just take the one second to drag it out of your inventory, it's not that hard.

This sort of attitude is arrogant and dismissive.
Just because it's not happening to you doesn't mean it's not happening at all. You're just lucky you dodged a bullet.

Same with people who get constant disconnects from ESO. Just because YOU personally don't, it doesn't mean they are lying or doing something wrong.

Ticket bug not happening to you? Great. Don't need to hear about how you are not having problems.
And we certainly don't need you writing comments insulting everyone who is legitimately having an issue.

is it just me or if you don't pick up the tickets and the enemy despawns you should have a chance a tthem with another mob?

so I don't normally disconnect much. but right now... right now... I'm very afraid that i'm going to disconnect in combat and lose my tickets because by the time I log back in - boss would despawn. and its not just hypothetical, that just happened to me on a side account, and I've been crashing in a last hour while trying, of all things - to do crafting writs in Rimmen. luckily, side account got tickets earlier today already, so at least crash just lost me a bunch of potentially good, but probably not unique loot. my main account? still needs tickets.

If I come across nodes with everything but the worms or crawlers taken, I just take the worms or crawlers. I've got stacks and stacks of them, stashed away for the day when I decide to get serious about fishing.

I even gave away a stack of 200 worms or crawlers to a guild mate the other night!

I've even been known to take the worms and leave the flowers. True story!

A few years ago when I was trying to stock up on everything, I even went through a period of taking the Alchemical Whatsit and leaving the plant.

My experience the first day:

NA server - I was in a delve I needed the boss for. Got through it, killed about 20-30 mobs before getting to the boss. Got tickets from the boss.

EU server - I had grabbed the pathfinder achievement just before the event started. Careful not to kill anything because I didn't know if tickets were per server or not (they are!). In the evening, I helped a guildie get the achievement and while they went to the POIs, I killed mobs around us in hopes of getting some gold for mount training. Again, killed at least 20 mobs if not more. Once we were done, we helped kill a dragon and got tickets from that.

Also note that mobs will only drop 1 ticket. Bosses drop 2.

So if you don't loot a random mob on the way to a dragon, the chances that that one mob will have one of your tickets is pretty slim. It sounds like the problem is something else, so filing a support ticket would be a good idea.

I'm not sure what constitutes the difference between a MOB and a boss in a delve or dungeon. On NA I've been going to the Rimmen Necropolis to get my tickets-- in hopes I'll also get some mummy parts-- and the first day I got my 2 tickets and gold strongbox by killing a Bone Colossus. There was no big health indicator at the top of the screen as there is when you enter a boss's area, so I assume it was not a boss, so I call it a MOB, even though it's definitely not a trash MOB.
