I don't see the Trolls drinking Lingering Health pots or casting Vigor/Cauterize. How I am supposed to RP a Troll if Stonefist doesn't proc Troll King?

    In related and serious news, the removal of the HoT from Forward Momentum was a massive shadow nerf to Troll King, but with the forthcoming change to Molten Armaments a Forward Momentum-free skillbar is looking more viable than ever.

    Good question, I'm way over budget on Magicka these days, it is a problem. For a pure defensive S&B bar right now I run almost all Magicka abilities. The new Sugar Skulls may alleviate this (Bear Haunch has never quite satisfied me), but if damage were to stay as high it is this patch in BGs, I'd probably Hakeijo+Gold a set of Chudan for the first time and get rid of Volatile Armor, just for that 1 extra line of health mostly. Damage is so high in BGs Bloodspawn and Troll King barely have a chance to proc before you're down. However going without the de-cloak of Volatile Armor in Cyro or Imp City sounds insufferable, and since damage is being tuned down that consideration is probably null.

    Short answer, Fossilize / Talons / (live) Stonefist may forever be gone from my bars with the new Stonefist. I've been tinkering with live Stonefist to proc 7th Legion in between Volatile casts, but since it's refresh is currently bugged on live that's been a little touchy - easy to cast at the wrong second and miss the 7th proc.

    Anyhow, I've been using Molten Armaments mostly all the time since Day 1. Although it is sometimes a weak choice, it is the most powerful skill in the entire DK kit in terms of aesthetics. As I said in prior discussions with you, I regard superlative Heavy Attacks as part of DK's identity. Throughout the years this has compensated for our naturally poor sustain, but with the forthcoming lack of a cooldown on Combustion our sustain should be better than ever.

    I may never stop tinkering with my max stat / regen spread, frankly. Sugar Skulls seems like probably the BIS food, or at least second to Takeaway Broth.

    Molten armaments should have it's effect on the blade of the weapon. Not the handle.
    It looks ridiculous.
    Dont unslot volitile. You need the draconic passive

    The MA effect works on the whole weapon for me, at least the molten part. The flames seem to only persist on Greatswords.

    I would only unslot Volatile if I put on Chudan, which I probably won't with the nerfs to DoTs. Regardless, in my view, unless you're running tripots, GDB is worth the slot for the buffs alone. Note I mostly play in 5 heavy so not only is Major Fortitude more useful than in medium, but Endurance more direly needed. If this current meta were going to last more than another few weeks, I'd probably go Chudan + Immovable Health pots. In the next patch, I think Bloodspawn + Tripots (no GDB) or TK + Lingering Health (with GDB) remain the two StamDK metas, as they have been in my view as long as they've been an option. Lingering Health pots were expendable on a TK build with the old Forward Momentum HoT, but now it seems if you're not running Lingering Health pots or Cauterize you'll get more defense out of Bloodspawn than TK overall.

    Of course on any build those dragon bloods are BIS but who can afford those? I did buy all 3 gold Hist Champion jewels the last couple weeks, to make me feel better for being too broke to run those dragon blood pots. Granted it's not a stellar backbar and I'm pretty sure I'll run New Moon as my both bar set.

    dude. u need to post ur build lol

    im swapping Forward Momentum with Molten Armaments as well. it ticks longer and balance my resource usage.

    i always love Vol armor, then again, my heavy set is the 7th and it procs that too.

    question is GDB... i can never time it right if i got Vigor too.... so i never slot that.

    do u use Turn Evil? the 8% damage reduction is nice and it comes with stam regen as well.
