    I think it would be good if they removed the AoE protection from northern. but not the caster's one. keep that aoe for the utility morph.

    it also slows me so i cant stealth nor invis nor even get away from you quickly AND IT HAS 10 METER RANGE?
    in that case i DO support and agree with this change.

    Hahaha I don’t think we should take this guys opinion very seriously. He doesn’t realize that as a nightblade all he has to do it stun and shuffle and just run away

    Or just learn how to use shade and cast that.

    I think it’s important to realize though that if you can keep casting northern storm roughly every 30 seconds you will have %15 more magicka. That’s amazing but like...it’s a little weird

    This Northern Storm nerf is a stupid change. Most Warden healers in PvE used to on our resto bar to increase the strength of our heals (passive max mag). Yet another braindead change for PvP that affects PvE. Thanks guys!

    Maybe if you're haunting Craglorn pugs or queueing into vet vanilla dungeons. Try running the DLC hms.

    This ability was OP before U22, before changes to snares. Now it is ok on live, no point to nerf it. I don't wanna be toxic or whatever, but for me it seems like somebody from ZOS's executives just tries to PVP once in a week and if die to same person/spec 2 times in a row just makes photo of recap on iphone and sends to combat team with "NERF ASAP" message...

    Also if you front bar Meteor you get the 2% more on top of that while active. And a Warden with Shimmering should have it up pretty quickly.

    Northern Storm (morph):
    The Max Magicka granted from this morph is no longer enabled passively by slotting. Instead, it is granted for 30 seconds after activating the Ultimate.
    Increased the amount of Magicka granted to 9% from 8%.
    This morph now ranks up in 2% Max Magicka granted per rank, up to 15% at Rank I, rather than 1.1% damage done per rank.

    With the damage nerf to permafrost this morph was looking like the go-to option for magwardens in PvP. Now with this change, the damage is better, but the constant max mag was important for shield strength and sustain while playing magwarden. Now we just get the damage benefit of the magicka when casting the ability, so it’s purely damage.

    I’m considering just running destro ult instead, depending on how the damage numbers compare.

    I’m so tired of these changes that are just unnecessary. Magwarden is anything but overperforming in PvP right now. We didn’t need a nerf to both morphs of our unique and favorite ultimate.

    Affects pve healers too, that max mag helped heals...

    Can we stop confusing changes we don't like with changes that don't make sense? The intention is pretty clear here. ZOS felt the ultimate offered too much passive power relative to the cost (having to slot the ultimate), so they shifted the passive power into the ultimate's active power. The design makes sense, and is one of the better ways to nerf a skill while still keeping it strong for it's intended use case.

    With that being said, I do think Northern Storm should have kept its passive power since it is a 200 cost ultimate. Of course, I'm a bit of an extremist who thinks the only skills that should have their own unique passives for being slotted are 200+ cost ultimates. So take that how you will.

    Skills you cast never put the red AoE indicator around you. So the fact that there is no red around the person that cast the skill is standard and not evidence of what you're claiming at all.

    Better to go into PvP and find an opposing side warden and then see if it shows enemy AoE (I believe it does, just like the Eye of the Storm destro ult morph).

    Warden's storm doesn't display the "hostile aoe marker" to enemies. It is not the only aoe skill that is missing the red (or green) indication tho. The game is very inconsistent in this regard.
