What they should do is a complete pass of owned locations and update them with the new mechanics introduced several DLCs ago. Flag interiors as ‘you are now tresspassing’ and fix the insta-detect from NPCs living there.
Even better - I constantly hear NPCs react to my nightblade, who is ALWAYS CLOAKED in such areas and therefore 100% invisibleEvery time you break in to someone's house, sneaking, not being detected, the NPC's both talk to you and turn to face you like they knew you were there. Acting like they just caught you in there, but no bounty given and everything works like it should.
Could this be fixed please? It's really annoying and immersion breaking when you stealthily enter a house, sneak to the first floor and someone screams "You should leave!" while still undetected

Sneak does not mean you are invisible or not seen. It means your actions are not noticed by the NPCs.
So, they see you standing there by the table, but they don't see you swipe the cheese.
Fair enough, it's not that the whole "crouch stealth system" makes a whole lot of sense to begin with.Sneak does not mean you are invisible or not seen. It means your actions are not noticed by the NPCs.
