The DK class had enough of the weird additions that are passed on as buffs while at the same time everything that makes this class unique has been stripped away, lowering the impact of our abilities.
You need to do right by this class Zos.
Too bad the stamDK community is divided with the while Poison Whip problem. Not sure how you are going to go about improving stamDK as well.
You need to reach out and gather some feedback for the DragonKnight class first and foremost since you brought it so low, as part of your classes ID evaluation.
Too bad we are not as many as magsorc and NB for you to take real action. But I dont think you have room for more errors with the DK main community.
I have beeing saying it for two years that stamDK is underperforming, while everybody was using the SnB/2h 7th Fury BS build.

✭✭✭✭✭I don't see any silver lining to this. I'm sceptical any big PTS combat changes will occur Monday. And honestly, my motivation for playing a DK is starting to wane. Dots were the trap and almost everyone fell in.
I was almost starting to feel optimistic about the changes, but ZOS's post about class identity put a sobering damper on that.

The fact that the united salt from the Sorc and (to a lesser extent) NB communities helped deter cast times on shields says otherwise. Even if the DK community had an equally stupid change happen to their signature skill (arguably, they already have -- wings), there just isn't enough people to unleash the amount of salt needed to push back against the nerfs.6 -

Magsorc didnt get cast times.
They lost shield size and gained resistance.
But magsorc would rather enjoy running without impen unlike the rest of us.
Their highness does not obey the same standard of fairness.
Bolt Esc was reseting fights. Was kitting 15 people. It received fatigue cost.
DK wings got deleted.
NB complains about nerfs to shadows cloak.
The abilities still maintain their core function and fun element.

✭✭✭✭✭There is no "class identity" for stam DK that I will play. I never saw poison as being in the realm of the DK. They pulled that out of nowhere for convenience purposes, near as I can tell. Warden and Necro are kind of mixed bags.

Bleeds were physical before, too. They just had a unique flag that bypassed resists.
I mean, I guess we could have a piercing type with some kind of resist debuff on proc. But, that's kinda a stretch.0 -

this is the, with all due respect, STUPIDEST idea a fantasy game dev can ever have. Unbelievable.
In any fantasy settings from Hollywood to Warhammer to tabletop to comics, sorcerers are mostly about nonphysical. magic, or alchemy, or anything like that.
Templar also have a signature image of a fighter why utilizes the unknown/magic, like Holy, or even angelic.
So their stamina theme is physical....
while Dragon... Knights....

How about using one of the most useless DK abilities instead as class identity?
which was also nerfed btw, stun on 5th hit is a joke. It should be 2nd or 3rd hit at worst. But they wanted this to be used in PVE so they added 5 stacks... ok maybe that will be ok in PVE, idk. But what DK should do in PVP? 2 -

It just makes me feel sad that stamDK , no matter what, ALWAYS gets the short straw when it comes to getting love and attention. Heck, even healer DK comes before stamDk. (not saying healer DK is great, just making a valid point)
Its completely fine for templars,wardens,necros,nightblades to have stam/mag diversity of their abilities, but talk about poison whip and you're instantly irrelevant because ''it hurts magDk identity''. Just goes up to prove my point even more.
Anyways, I don't think poison is bad. I would LOVE to have a poison whip or poison spammable that would do what molten whip does. Instead we get to throw petrified poop cause that is what we're worth for I guess.
I really, really want to know what they were thinking, did they expect people to look at igneous weapons/stonefist and say ''yaay, look at all this cool stuff we got!''? Oh and speaking of igneous/molten weapons, look at how ugly that **** looks and then look at the DK picture on their latest ''class identity'' post.

Yeah, and matriarch heal buffed this patch and surge changed too. Not sure about nightblades (my magblade just wonders what else can be nerfed, but devs always find something to nerf further), but magsorcs are definitely handled more carefully then DKs, even if something is nerfed hard there is always buffed replacement in same patch. (shield nerfed -> pets buffed. Pets nerfed -> streak buffed. This patch magsorc is less nerfed then others too)4 -
