ESO has a good gameplay template to it but I would disagree on how they implemented the market place in the game its just to much of a major hassle every day tbh, this market system is so easily exploitable compared to a world wide auction house.

Its silly guild trader system is a weight on its shoulders. I won't disagree with you there. Why they stubbornly continue cling to it I'll never understand. With the addition of addons it's practically just a fragmented global auction house already. So the popular arguments against a global auction house don't even make sense anymore.

But this could easily be remedied if they wanted to do it. All they would have to do is implement basic features that addons for the most part already do - which is to say adding a global price history and the ability to view the global market (which again - addons already do) and you basically have the equivalent of a global auction house. The only significant difference between the two would be that players have to join a guild to sell things. Which again could easily be remedied by simply giving everyone access (like they already did when it comes to purchasing). Though I'm not even sure if that would be necessary at that point - because guild spots are of less importance when everyone has access to view the entire market. So any guild would basically do, and players willing to price their goods competitively should be able to sell.

So it's foundation per say doesn't prevent them from improving the current system.

Nah, I bet they will just keep adding new zones with improved textures.

I do hope that one day they will introduce underwater exploration and sailing in ESO. Shipbuilding, whailing, fishing in the open ocean with upgraded mechanics, diving, naval battles... All those would be so cool. Ehh...

    Naval PvP would be awesome.

MMOs with good foundations can keep going for a long time. ESO is not one of those.

Subjective and an opinion. Lots of people would say the contrary.

    Let me see.

Over-reliance on client side calculations which made the game susceptible to cheat engine alterations followed by a frantic switch to server side calculations which tanked perfomance. Repeated (and I mean repeated) resurfacing of bugs that were supposed to be fixed but somehow came back when some other unrelated thing was changed. Visual and gameplay bugs that are present since beta. Generally poor perfomance. Reducing campaign population cap 5x times to help with perfomance (still failed to fix it, btw). Group finder that stops working under heavy load. Battlegrounds that are not working reliably since the day they were introduced. Absolute mess in ability scaling where random things scale from MAA and thaumaturge without any rhyme or reason. Oh, and of course a poor homebrew engine that is just not capable of staying relevant just 5 years later.

Do I have to keep going? Yeah sorry, those things are not subjective.
You forgot to add that the ever decreasing content per DLC/Chapter release. The ever increasing of monetization trhough microtransactions. The general ignorance of the developers about the classes and overall balancing of PvE and PvP elements.

None or most of those things you and he mention have anything to do with the game's foundation.

The only example I saw that could be considered structural in nature and difficult to build or improve upon would be the performance issues regarding Cyrodil - and they are currently at work on trying to fix that. Though I'll admit the jury is still out on whether they will succeed or not.

But everything else was just bugs and balance disagreements. And considering this game still has some of the best combat and graphics on the MMO market today - I see no evidence that its engine is incapable of competing.

Let's be honest, I was talking about technical foundations. The things you've listed can be changed fairly easily. An attempt to untangle the mess that is ESO's code might be a bit more complicated.

What gives you the idea that ESO has the "best" combat out there? It's different from other games, but it's most definitely not the best. It has still issues with the animations and the animation canceling.

Well it's subjective I'll admit. But when compared to the combat from other games it's definitely on the better side of things in my opinion.

What MMO do you believe has a better combat system?

Nope. Won't happen. We're most likely see the following going by Bethesda's history with any ES game.

    ESO remastered.
ESO remastered delux 5 year edition.
ESO remastered VR delux 5 year edition.

ESO 20th year remastered delux Augmented Virtual Reality special limited edition.

And finally, The ESO original, release for the 25th year.

Most of these things ZOS has publicly addressed and is something that is being fixed with the next major update

That said I hardly see these things as reason to quit - and I disagree with the final point

I see no reason for a sequel at this point. The game is still one of the best MMORPG games on the market.

    M O N O P O L Y

is what the mmo market is right now.
list off some popular mmo's that compete with TESO.

World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy 14 are the two most popular currently I believe - and ESO is superior to both of them in my opinion.

To be fair, Destiny 2 improved on everything the first Destiny had.

    Very very very very debatable.
