Not currently... More than enough to do with the one we have and despite what you see on the forums the in game pop seems healthy.

@MeadDrinker02 Do you think ZOS should make ESO 2?
Are you unsatisfied with the game in some way?

I think it would be really expensive to have to start over again from scratch. All the voice acting and level creation and I don't know how much more.

To be fair, Destiny 2 improved on everything the first Destiny had.

Personally, I'm waiting for an ESO/Fallout 76 event.

No. If they go anywhere near that path, they should incrementally rebuild ESO in place.

I think first they have to sit down for about a year. Figure out what they actually want to make, what is their vision and most importantly how are they going to make it.

And then make ESO 2 or whatever you want to call it. Preferrably on a decent engine with enough future proofing that it won't crumble miserably under the weight of all the new additions after 2-3 years.

Why try hard on something new when they can reskin zones, pets, mounts, skills (See new Bound Weapons).....nah ZOS is too busy "killing it" at our expense.

It is very premature to discuss an ESO 2 as this game is still doing well. At that, some might consider we are entering ESO 3. Adding CP came with major changes and now we are getting a full rework to combat again. lol

Why is this even a topic? They're still adding game content regularly. We have basically already entered, as idk said, ESO 3.
I play this game a little bit I guess

    No way.
I've spent way too much money on this game to move to a different one. I just wouldn't play at all.

Maybe. If we could save, at least, some of our current progress.
An new game that gives the same level of pvp and pve options.

Nah, I bet they will just keep adding new zones with improved textures.

I do hope that one day they will introduce underwater exploration and sailing in ESO. Shipbuilding, whailing, fishing in the open ocean with upgraded mechanics, diving, naval battles... All those would be so cool. Ehh...

I would love an ESO 2. However if Zos were managing it I would be very cautious before buying it. They've lost a lot of trust over the years.

At the same time we have GW2 and rumors of a new LotRO. I would even say that the re-release of FF XIV was pretty much FF XIV 2. MMOs with good foundations can keep going for a long time. ESO is not one of those.

What you said reminds me of Warframe. It's crazy.

Never and I mean never use ESO and Warframe in the same breath. ESO and ZOS couldn’t code Steve and Co toilet paper at DE.
DE 💩 on anything ESO does with a smaller budget and a team that totals 300. Also DE delivers as much if not more FREE content constantly.

yes, but i dont think they could leave TESO for long enough to build TESO2 to keep a playerbase.
    theyve really screwed this up.
they can go back a step, or just overlay more bandaids to an infected cut. but iether way theyre going to have to hurt their pride to make things right, this current patch isnt right.

I see no reason for a sequel at this point. The game is still one of the best MMORPG games on the market.

    I disagree strongly.

ESO has a great foundation. It's one of the better structured MMO's I've ever played actually.

World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy 14 are the two most popular currently I believe - and ESO is superior to both of them in my opinion.

ESO has a good gameplay template to it but I would disagree on how they implemented the market place in the game its just to much of a major hassle every day tbh, this market system is so easily exploitable compared to a world wide auction house.

They're not capable of doing that, even Bethesda isn't even capable of doing a proper game.

I only wish we had some kind of graphical update. the models and setting is really nice, but lights and shadow specially in open world could use some work.

    Let me see.

Over-reliance on client side calculations which made the game susceptible to cheat engine alterations followed by a frantic switch to server side calculations which tanked perfomance. Repeated (and I mean repeated) resurfacing of bugs that were supposed to be fixed but somehow came back when some other unrelated thing was changed. Visual and gameplay bugs that are present since beta. Generally poor perfomance. Reducing campaign population cap 5x times to help with perfomance (still failed to fix it, btw). Group finder that stops working under heavy load. Battlegrounds that are not working reliably since the day they were introduced. Absolute mess in ability scaling where random things scale from MAA and thaumaturge without any rhyme or reason. Oh, and of course a poor homebrew engine that is just not capable of staying relevant just 5 years later.

Do I have to keep going? Yeah sorry, those things are not subjective.
