✭DK's reflect skill is *** and should stay as it is. Sorry, a skill that cannot be countered by some classes (say MagNB), is not healthy for the game.1 -

✭At the same time, OP is right, changing skills so much such as Wings, Crystal Frag etc.. because zos wants to allow counter play, however these changes more or less remove the need of counter play.
Gameplay becomes boring. Yes I mained a DK for some time and made countless sorcs eat this own OL LAs and frags, but then there were many more who knew how to play against it. It was a L2P issue .
Same for Frags, if you see one coming, use your brain to roll dodge or block.
However those constant whining from those who dont want to step up there game and just cry Nerfs to skills because it's too hard for them to counter. IMO that is what has lead to the current CRAP state of the original classes compared to what they have been.
I would not give a second thought if ZOS comes and says, we are giving old Wings back alongwith Frag stun. Or some other old skills...its be worth it to have some interesting game play.
Agree with this. Magdk is hard to fight on sorc. Having to change how you play was fun. Ok, magdk, keep distance, save ult, wait for wings down, force pulse heavy before the opening for a burst.
Why fully change the ability? For those saying its op, why does it mean throwing it out? Knock down the uptime by a sec or slightly reduce how much dmg it reflects. Lets be honest, the people that hated it the most were spaming snipe.
For sorc, i would say let frag have a stun and the other more dmg. Make frag do less because it has a stun. Oh well

I agree. Total *** that DK gets this treatment while cloak, streak and purge still exist and are heavily crutched on. The "stand your ground" class has been clipped and neutered. GG zos for killing it.

But really? Streak and cloak haven’t been touched? How long have you been playing this game? They’ve been touched lol. No sorc was happy about cost increase per cast and no NB shouted in praise of the skill no longer removing DoTs. Not to mention, a defensive skill isn’t a “crutch”, it’s a defensive skill. If it’s a crutch, same thing could be said about wanting old wings back since “the stand your ground class has been clipped and neutered”. DK is still a stand your ground class with just a few added “LoS” movements needed. I’m more concerned about what they are doing to our DoTs.Hey everyone! Look! It's a signature!3 -

1. I have played this game from launch and have seen extreme changes over time including a skill change just as significant. Somehow I still managed to play the game just as well. If the change to this one skill is causing such huge issues with your playing of a DK I would suggest the problem lies elsewhere.
2. Your comment about nerfing sorcs bolt escape seemed to indicate a challenge catching sorcs. Maybe you were just being snarking for some pointless reason but I was just going off what came to mind when I read what you wrote. Even others thought you were suggesting revenge nerfs indicating your message was not as clear as you seem to think.0 -

That DK suggesting that I seek revenge nerfs, when I clearly was comparing the treatment of the DK class unique mechanism with NBs and Sorc tools by painting what it would look like to get those abilities destroyed and made a 6s buff, was trying to make him/her self look righteous and above others, hurting the case that Wings was treated unfairly. I hope the person is glad for giving you and others like you an opportunity to pretend that "This guy is talking BS. Wings deletion was deserved since this guy is talking BS"
Again the arguement that I seek revenge nerfs is smokescreen to avoid acknowledging that DK Wings got erased without even trying to find ways to prevent MAGIKA DKs from "shutting down ranged opponents"
As for point 1). Everybody manages to play just as well. It's a matter of ruining something nice.
When you asume that you are better than players like me or others that want wings back, just like you asumed that I have an issuse with sorcerers unique fun ability to teleport because I supposedly dont slot gap closers, you just showed us that your only arguement is your fantasy that you are better than others and that they dont know what's going on.

D3N7157✭✭✭✭I dont agree, as bad as balance is becoming wings should never go back to what they were. It’s just promoting extremely unhealthy play style and anyway most of the ranged CC is gone now and snipespammers have been nerfed several times already.2

✭✭OP isn't pushing to nerf the things listed. OP is pointing out that Zenimax basically entirely reworked wings "to introduce counterplay", and yet these other skills that offer similar amounts of identity and power (yes, they do offer similar amounts of power as old wings) haven't received the same treatment.
If they were to receive the same treatment, Streak would give a unique speed buff, and Cloak would give some form of passive dodge, since that's essentially what they did to wings. Take a unique mechanic that gave DK's identity and helped DK in the one spot it is intentionally weak in, and replaced it with a simply inferior version that strips all identity from not only the skill, but also the class.1 -
