I'm in 4 guilds, two trade, and two pve, out of the 480+ there are always 50-80 people logged in during peak hours and its been that way since I joined them almost a year ago. I guess I'm lucky?
(or they have guild masters who know what they're doing)

Several people from one of my social guild is moving into engdgame content (raids and dungeons) with the help of two long term, experienced players from the guild. Together they've formed their own endgame guild as they've found the social enviroment in the old time ones hostile and unwelcoming to newcomers. They're having fun slowly learning and progressing without having old, angry elitist screaming about "noobs l2p".
PS. If your endgame guilds are dying or dead perhaps you should be looking to yourself as to why your not getting new players coming in (or new plalayers turning around and leaving) instead of blaming the game.

On Xbox EU I think some of the end game teams are thining out and it's members are looking for up and coming teams due to old rivalries/arguments. The pool at the top is getting smaller and there's no room for grudges if you want to push scores.
On the flipside the PvE guild I'm in is pretty much the same, the odd time we have to look outside the roster but it's usually just for things like last min irl stuff that's unavoidable & not having a back up.
The mood is still high so I'm happy.

The OP did specify “End Game” guilds. I don’t consider trading guilds “end game”. On the other hand, after the next patch, they may well be
