Currently on live on the 3mil I can hit 52k on my trail build. And 47k on my non trail build.
On the PTS my trail build hits 42k and my non trail build hits 37k...
See a pattern? I lost 10k DPS across the board. This is all done on a regular 3 mil. These numbers are obviously higher on the Iron.
I want to know if most ppl are averaging about a 10k DPS loss. Trying to see where the new average is for end game content.

✭✭✭✭✭Yes I think this is their goal, it’s reigning in power creep. It’s not all PvP driven though people like to say this. A lot of people asked for harder content in PvE as well.8 -

That's a bit depressing the mag regen from entropy was kind of insane on the live patch
But I feel I am losing too much damage from the nerfs over-all even with a longer time on the Dots.
Please give me back some damage.. perhaps only reduce engulfing and burning embers by 40% rather than 47% and 60%2 -

✭✭The vast majority of players are in the 15k~20k DPS range. Probably not likely they gonna drop 10k DPS. They’ll very well likely stay the same. Then wander what all these elite players are kicking screaming and crying about.
My best character hits around 42k on a six mil. That jumps up to 67k on the super dummy.
Most of my characters are around 30k DPS. On the raid dummy they go up to 50k DPS.
I’ll be the first to admit that not enough damage is a big problem in group activity’s. But it’s not because players don’t hit 90k. It’s because they hit 7k DPS on average. And that, is just not enough.8 -

✭✭✭✭✭On live using a DoT heavy setup like everyone else I will parse, with a basic overland build of 5,5,2 Julianos, Mother Sorrow and Grothdar (or maybe Skoria, can't remember) around 40k on the 3 mill, 35k on the 6 mill.
The same setup on the PTS was around 30k on 3 mill.
If I forgo the DoTs (only keeping Vampires Bane, cause it is still ok) and focus more heavily on spammable and just skills that buff when slotted I will parse around 33k.
It looks like it's going to be around 18% damage nerf. And the rotation is far simpler, some might say boring.0 -

✭✭✭On stamsorc and stamnecro, where I was easily hitting 100k+ on the raid dummy for the past couple of patches, I'm down around 75-80k now.
Looks to me like a 20-25% DPS loss.
And I'm getting my best results with rotations that are basically just WoE/Endless Hail, spam spammable. No need for Poison Injection, Rending Slashes, or Soul Trap.
Since we don't need IA anymore, might as well drop Barbed Trap too and just run Twilight Remedy. More time for spamming that spammable.

Target Iron Attronach: 92k on live, 79k on PTS

Solar Barrage should be better than WoE only because it didn't get the increase in cost like WoE (around 1500 less magicka). The damage it does it around the same as WoE, but the Empower on all your light attacks will net you some extra DPS.
Probably not the "Class Identity" they were going for this patch?0 -

You need WoE for crushing wall and berserker proc. Also pre-exploding it even at such huge cost will be probably the only source of burst aoe outside of destro-ult and colossus.1 -

they need to buff eleweapon a bit or merciless again, then i think it will be ok.
i lost dmg, but i'm trying new rotas and setups. so i think you can hit to 50k (mag nb)

✭✭72k on bow/bow warden with some quickly thought out rotation that actually made me cast like 8 different skills and only half of them were dots. Definitely enjoying this patch already, but can see why people using vma DW complain so much.1 -

You got that (impressive) numbers on a 3m, doubt they can be kept on 6m, not even talking about 21m, due sustain. From your log (wild guess you were using pots, if not forget this) you were losing 400 magicka per second. This means that in less than 2 minutes, you would be empty.
Sustain is another big issue, specially on some classes already bad suited for sustain, like Sorc.5 -

U22 magden 6 mil: 39ishk. Change = ((42-39)/39)*100 = 7.7% increase between U22 and U23

ThornJagger✭✭✭With the same gear and skills as live I lost about 10k on 32m how ever with little testing using more direct damage abilities I gained back another 2k. still plan on checking on different set ups including cp. We'll survive and overcome this change as we did others.I never loose... I either win or learn.

they have a lot of work to do before this goes live. really they need to postpone the balance part of this update and only relase QoL and performance and dlc part of update on time and acauly allow more testing.
im a pvper who been getting into trying harder pve stuff I finnaly got my dps over 25k on my magdk. my light attacks weaves are aweful magdk's attacks don't weave smooth with staff to unless they do with 2h. im definitely not great at pve but pvp im a lot better but magdks pressure in pvp is crap now ember and engulfing flames ticks are crap 450 avg tick players wont even notice them they just tickle nowDC PC NA

For a player like me in the lower spectrum of DPS with no alterations it's a 4k dip. Changing sets and mundus I should be able to get back to 32k by practice and mastering the timing to make the most out of the change in the duration of the DoTs.
Edit: Found the source of the difference in magicka recovery, it's the addon reflecting the max Magicka Recovery during combat for the bar that I happened to be on when opening the report. I have 4% more recovery on one bar due to two mages guild abilities. Apparently on Live I had the front bar active when opening the damage report and on PTS I had my back bar active when opening. ✭✭Where I was doing 51K self-buffed on a 3 mil, I'm now doing about 35k. Had no problems sustaining my MagSorc before this patch. Now I burn through all magicka in about 20 seconds. After 3 years or working on rotations and improving my DPS, this is just beyond sad and disappointing. I truly hope this mess doesn't go live...4 -

✭✭✭✭✭My Mag Sorc dropped from over 90k on an Iron Atronach to below 60k without adjustments. Changing some things around I was able to get that up to 65k. Could maybe come up with ways to approach 70k, but I don’t see it getting much better than that. Looking at around 35% loss initially, maybe 25% loss after adapting.2 -
