twitch drops, twitch prime, exclusive pc only giveaways. to me, it starting to look like the developers, really really couldn't give two hoots about console players, as we miss out on twitch prime benefits, twitch drops, and then there's these exclusive pc only give aways to really kick salt in the wound. they'll probablly deny it, but why did they have a pc exclusive giveaway for legends/eso for a doom wolf mount?

I think you should also look to Microsoft and Sony. They are notoriously stingy with codes. Even just the updates- they drop weeks later for console because they have to go through a whole extra step before people can play. I imagine it's the same with giveaways. That's why there's still no date for when console twitch drops are happening. ZOS has to coordinate with Microsoft and Sony to get them.

^ We can thank Sony and Microsoft for these delays and loss in exclusive gifts. PC shouldn't be losing out on these as a result that console can not do it. If ZOS could have been doing the same thing with console from the start, they would. It only hurts them business wise not to have these available while we only miss out on cosmetics of a game.

It sounds like you are talking about one thing, the connection between Twitch and ESO and the rewards PC players are getting and console players aren’t..

I think that will have way more to do with Sony and Microsoft’s relationships with Twitch than anything else. I think ZOS would happily promote away on console if the console owners would let them.

As for love for console players, if I recall all you had to do to get flouncy Twitch prizes was kill something. PC players had to actually watch the bloody videos...

It took a Loooooooooooong time for some of the most basic quality-of-life tweaks to make it from pc to console.

It is my belief that the developers did not move on those issues because they did not feel the pain. For example, there are addons to take on the burden of repetitive actions at a crafting station so their brains weren’t going zombie from hitting the same button 100 / 200 or 300 times.

There’s console-PlayStation platform. Console-Xbox platform. PC platform. They’ve said the platforms are roughly equal in players- meaning there are MORE console players than Pc. Roughly 2 console players for every 1 pc player. Yet it seems like the devs are all from the minority platform.

They should find a small corner and put a PS and Xbox there. Use the development kit to mod the current version to pull out the bits of the UI that show names, and then they can start recording some plain gameplay to stream while talking to us. Then they can post it later, to avoid people mobbing them if they did it live.

Having months of different developers making comments such as “this skill seems to be doing more than it should” or “that fight was over more quickly than I would like” or “that should not stack like that” would make changes easier to swallow.

There are two ways for the devs and players to interact. Option one is that the devs hand down the game from on high in a sort of ‘take it or leave it’ fashion. Option two is that players and developers are on the same team to make it better. Currently zeni is trying to be in option 2 by having that class rep thing and doing feedback on the test server, but the historical record of how those things have performed shows that zeni is actually in option 1. Like cast times on shields, for example. Remember, a focus group said New Coke was good. Zeni has their own focus group in the streamers and class reps, and that is not at all guaranteed to be the same as the wider player base.

I just wish that we could transfer our accounts from console to PC. I know that Sony might have an issue with that, but most computers run Microsoft Windows so it's not like Microsoft would be losing money by letting people transfer from Xbox to PC.

You're on a platform with a limited lifespan. Support for it WILL end, much much sooner than support for the main platform (PC) so no, you absolutely aren't as important to zenimaximumdollarbills.

It's why you get everything later and aren't priority #1. You're basically the side hustle.

The question you need to be asking is what's going to happen to your account when current gen console support reaches its inevitable end?

They've already said many times that transfer to PC will not be possible, so is a next gen console version in development? Will your accounts carry over?

The clock is ticking for console players in a very real way, even if Sony & Microsoft continue online support for current consoles for a few more years, eventually the numbers on those consoles will dwindle as people trade up for next gen hardware, until continuing service for the current gen becomes completely unprofitable. And they shut it down.

Will a next gen eso be out in time?

The PC did not get any of those changes until a couple of weeks before the console, and that was because of the patch vetting process. Not everyone uses addons, and quite frankly addons are a pain to use and update, especially now with the Lib files falderall.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Add-ons had you covered for years. Set the add-on to make 200 spell power pots and walk away while the console majority had to sit there button-button-button-button-button-button-button-button-button-button-button-button-button-button-button-button-button-button-button-button...

But I said as much in my second paragraph. Too bad you forgot how to read.

But my point remains: there are more players on the two co some platforms than on the one pc platform, yet the pc platform point of view is the default because the devs do not seem to step outside their box unless it’s to do testing.

Let’s have some *native* console players do some presenting of content or streaming from zenimax.
