- Generally seemingly good changes like dizzying swing.

Really, I am only a bit worried over some questionable changes like applying off-balance which might be too strong when combined with a heavy attack weave. Also dubious templar changes and entropy changes, etc.
Also the DoT / AoE nerfs do seem like overkill. But that can be adjusted. Say 1.5x instead of 1.25x.
Oh, and people who want to leave should just leave. Don't spam whine threads, don't destroy sets on your way out by calling for huge nerfs because you can't beat up large groups of newbies in Cyrodiil anymore.
I have been around since the start and tbh, despite many debatable changes, by large the game has gotten better and better. All classes are played, population is good, ui and qol have consistently gotten better. ESO has survived, many of us have adapted and overcome. I got my first vMA no-death no-sigil werewolf clear a few days ago. If you are tired of the game that is understandable and I respect it, but don't act like the game has gotten worse and worse because it has not.
Now we just need veteran questing mode.to all.

Ummm, hasn't anyone actually tried the new patch on the PTS yet?
And, y'know, actually tested some of the changes and offered some constructive criticism that the devs can actually work with, as opposed to "they've broken the game?!! the sky is falling!!!"? Or are you all going to whine and cry without even trying/testing the upcoming changes?
If you think that they haven't play-tested the changes themselves, already, then that is some very silly thinking. There is plenty of time to get on the PTS and do some research and testing.

But like I said, most of the patch are good changes and I don't think the bad ones will make it to Live.
I would like to believe that too, however, Zos' history with these patches does not support that opinion. Case in point, the last patch that introduced the Dot-meta that was way over the top and now needs part of this patch to remedy. That has a been an ongoing story with these patch releases.

Pretty sure this was part way toward vet questing mode. As DPS gets nerfed, overland gets harder.

Power creep is getting put in check which is great. No more bypassing mechanics in PvE (well some of us will still be able to). Also current team stated no changes are set in stone (see nerf to single target DoTs). What we are having is a selective reading problem.
MMO’s are constantly changing. I agree with OP these changes are great. Lots of good stuff getting overlooked because lil ja’khajiit are acting like little kittens instead of training to be prime hunters. Refine your builds. With each patch I have had to do very little to change any of my builds, for both PvP and PvE.
So tired of this tribalism regarding PvE and PvP. Anyone worth their salt does both.
I think it’s absolutely ridiculous that anyone would think the devs don’t have designated teams to test these changes.
Looking forward to the changes ESO has in store. Especially with standardization of abilities. My only concern is that they risk homogenization with classes — BUT as they said in the stream, class identity will be looked at next patch. This awesome.
khajiitNPC wrote: »@Jhalin, it’s not matter of WK it’s a matter of being logical. Games as big as ESO have a lot happening under the hood. The current team has stated not everything is set in stone, hence the them reverting the single target DoT damage. ESO has a lot of code to go through. Anyone who has dealt with coding knows you can screw a lot up by just making small adjustments. While I know a large group of people warned about DoTs before going live — I’m willing to bet those testing PTS are too small of a sample group to actually make changes in the code the devs are going to implement.
This is the case with all MMOs. The forums cry the loudest but very few actually hop into the PTS. Very few understand the forums is a minuscule amount of people. Most people might notice a change when it goes live, but they just adapt, plain and simple.
Most of the changes are well needed. I’m glad they are finally addressing a lot of the power creep. Do I agree with all the changes? No. But do I let it ruin my experience? No. It’s a video game. There are far more pressing matters than “how do I supplement my build”.
Like I’ve stated many times, the problem with chasing FotM is that those are generally things that are overtuned. Right now my only concern long term is homogenization which is already happening. Hopefully with update 25 they return some class identity. Outside that I really hope these under the hood changes address the problems with code set by the previous dev team. Right now you have a lot of people lamenting Wrobel, but he in part is the reason why some of this is so horrendous, and I did say in part.
Forum is always doom and gloom. Basically those who excelled in the past will still excel. Not because there is some sort of elitist agenda, but because people refuse to understand the game. The game isn’t that hard. At all.
