    How to fix DoTs?

Give all a magicka version of vigor and/or half the cost of purge in the PvP skill line.

We already have magicka version of Vigor. It's called Rapid Regeneration.

    Stamcro - alt

AD PS4 NA -retired (PC runs way better to play on console)
    magdk

    stamplar
    magden
    magsorc

DoT magblades and bowblades are probably the most annoying things in the game. They never engage you if they are solo and you are not AFK. They will hide behind the zerg or in unreachable areas and spam their DoTs while you fight others. Half of them don't even have a proper spammable. They just spam Impale, hoping you drop to 25% for a second.

i don't think i ever met a full dot magblade, let alone died to one. Idk where you get that "dots are most powerful on magblade" idea from. Most seem to be proc gankers with calu/zaan or bombers, with very few "regular" ranged builds with funnel/merciless and 1-3 dots. If anything the dots (and procs) are there because the rest of the toolkit is so ***. But there is nothing that would make dots stronger on them than any other class. And yes, most are just zerging, but it is not like it matters which class spams that stuff from behind a zerg.

While I don't have a ton of extra time to go into great detail, here are the actual problems with DOTS currently (PvP-centric):

    1. DOT damage is completely fine. Nerfing tooltips would be barking up the wrong tree. The primary issue with Entropy and Soul Trap is that they deal very respectable instant strike damage. Just put a 1 second delay from application to first damage tick. This will make people calm down about DOTS, I'm sure of it (especially Soul Trap which is undodgeable).

    2. Magblades. Spammable invisibility and easy in-combat stealthing have been sandbagging PvP in this game for far too long. Would you REALLY rather nerf universal tools that everyone can use instead of the elephant in the room? People hate the DOT meta in Cyro because of all these 40-meter untouchable magblades (and snipeblades) that just pepper you with impunity from the bushes. Cloak and stealth need some fundamental changes.

So the one thing with dots on a nightblade. The dots I apply to you, pull me out of stealth when they tic, so i'm easy to find and follow. The more they tic, the more i get pulled out.

No that's not true at all. Previously applied DOT ticks don't pull you out of Cloak.

hmm, happens to me all the time. I apply poison inject on someone, the tics pulls me out of stealth. I proc my sheer venom, the tics pull me out of stealth. I proc vicecanon, the tics pull me out of stealth, ect, ect, ect. Yes it does work that way. Test it out. Apply poison inject on someone, then go into stealth, see if the tics don't pull you out of stealth. I have to hit cloak far more than i should ;)

Sheer Venom was bugged for a long time (might still be). But Poison Injection itself does not pull you out, I've been using it forever on stamblade without issue, in addition to DOT poison, acid spray, vBRP bow, even Consuming Trap.

The new Natch Potes mention that they'll fix some stamina dots sometimes breaking cloak... so ETA 1 and 1/2 months.
