ZOS is Contradicting Themselves About How Much Damage Ground DoTs Should Do

They are literally contradicting themselves in their intent of reverting the nerfs to ground DoTs but having them cost more by NERFING THE DAMAGE EVEN MORE. Are the combat team members blind? Look at this nonsense:

They say they'll do the same damage as before, but then do and do this:

THIS. IS. NOT. WHAT. YOU. SAID. WOULD. HAPPEN. You are nerfing them more. How's about you stay to your word and revert the damage to pre-Scalebreaker levels but keeping the cost increases. The playerbase is not stupid. Don't think you all can get away with this.

    They're nerfing aoe DOTs less overall than they're nerfing single target DOTs (reduced by 50% and 63%), so after all the latest nerfs are counted, they can say that aoe DOTs will end up "mirroring the damage of their single target counterparts." At this point in the crazy, things that are mostly nerfed by 33% are considered to have gotten off easy.

    That crappy explanation doesn't excuse them 100% contradicting themselves.

    Well with the huge nerf to single target dot some of the aoe dot may had tho be nerfed to mirror the dammage

    They are nerfing all damage across the board and do not want to come out and say that. Which is silly. Do they think players will not notice? Do they think that when players can suddenly not clear content they have been clearing for years, they will not notice? It is one thing to nerf AoE and replace it with single-target DoTs. Update 23 is not a fun meta for PvE, but you can still clear the same content you could in the past, just in a different way. Update 24 just nerfs everything massively with no buffs whatsoever.

    Players complain about "power creep". But there is no better way to kill a game than "power loss". If you make players feel unavoidably weaker and less powerful, it drives them away. If you have too much power creep in a game, you mostly need to suck it up, make an effort to hold the line, and make future content more challenging. You absolutely do not make players weaker and lock them out of content they have been doing successfully up until now. That is horrible game management.

    Yeah, they know. They wrote the patch notes.

    Post some parses, compare it to live, put forward a case as to how this is *** over your progression guild.

    These dps losses are going to destroy my guilds vAS+2 progression. We're already struggling dealing with Felms with the cleave nerfs last patch.

    They said it was going to be a quick race rebalance, i was expecting orc tears im dissapointed
