    I ran into a group of people I used to play with last night in IC and they were ALL running Templars. These folks used to play all sorts of different classes and now it’s just Templars.

    Maybe it’ll be wardens next but Templar still looks strong.

    ZOS needs to get it together and stop overhauling the game 4x a year like this. Things were better a year ago.

    Templars are still outrageously strong so I doubt FOTM players are migrating any time soon.

    Pretty sure FOTM players have one of every class already so I doubt it affects them.

    did you read the path notes ? stamplars will be even stronger , backslash can crit ffs ( about 40/45k of dmg)...jabs always apply snare to the closest enemy, and they said they fixed the sync of jabs...
    my second pg is a stamplar and yeah I feel like I got a buff , except for dyzzy swing and poison arrow but those are not templar's skills

    You completely missed the biggest buff of jabs which is surprising if you're a main templar.

    Jabs is now direct damage which means Major evasion is no longer a counter.

    This wasn't the first time templars were BiS. They've been BiS a number of times over the game's life. They've probably been one of the luckiest classes in that regard.

    I think you’re conflating two concepts. It’s direct damage versus damage over time, and single target versus area of effect. Unless I missed a change to evasion, it’ll still resist jabs because it’s now direct damage that’s aoe.

    Sweeps/Jabs should be easier to land, Backlash can crit (with no mention of reduced damage...LAUGH OUT LOUD), Onslaught didn't get touched, and the class generally dodged nerfs that hit some others pretty hard - Templar isn't going anywhere next patch (barring big changes throughout the rest of the PTS cycle, of course). If anything, Stamina Templar got some substantial buffs...as though it needed them.

    In case you misread the patch notes I don't think templars got much of a hit. Meanwhile, people somehow still complain about magsorcs (at least much less often now) when they're not even close lmao. Wardens and their stam DoT looks fine since they lost dizzying swing as their staple combo with fissure.

    Major evasion counters aoes lol they’re still considered aoes.They simply switched it from a dot to direct damage.

    Zerg of House Smallscale, First of his name, wielder of Volendrung, battleground hero, Cyrodiil butcher, the swifft footed, OG of the Templars and first pvpers, defender of scrolls and baiter of zergs.

    Yeah I dont know how that's gonna work when jabs damage scales off direct damage now, evasion blocks AOE damage, if I am understanding correctly each hit of jabs is gonna do direct damage, damage evasion wont mitigate.

    As of right now only the first hit from jabs is direct damage and the rest act as a dot and aoe.. evasion blocked the dot damage from aoe but each jab scales off direct damage so yeah maybe I read into it wrong but someone needs to test that on pts.

    Templar has always been meta. They've been OP since day 1. I despise Templars with a burning passion but im about to make one because of how especially broken they are this patch!
    New to forums and stuff so I 99.9 percent probably won't see your response and such, so use the at symbol at me I guess? IDK :/. This BBCode stuff is really cool!! :D.

      One day Nightblades will get the buffs we desperately need and deserve, but so far, those buffs are not today.. The Elder Scrolls Online: Nightblade Nerfs Unlimited.

      It's now Direct Damage but unfortunately still classified as AoE, so it's still affected by Major Evasion. This is unfair in PvP for a spammable melee skill that channels, I believe.

      ZOS could remedy this unbalanced classification by making Jabs/Sweeps do its current low AoE damage by default, and only do full damage to whichever target you most recently Light-Attacked or Heavy-Attacked.

      This would also greatly improve the functionality of this skill and its morphs because very often you are not hitting your intended target with this already weirdly-targeted spammable.

      TLDR; Allow Sweeps/Jabs to ignore Major Evasion on the target you last Light-Attacked or Heavy-Attacked.

      I'll take templar or warden over Necro. Spent half the year leveling this guy and making him my main with getting achievements that are a pain and now... necro is RIP city. 1

      So I'm interpreting that Onslaught into jabs will be the new classic setup due to jabs being direct damage now for Templar. Love it. #mynightbladehasnomoretearslefttocry lolz

      I wonder when we'll see a patch when abilities are nerfed or buffed by only 3-5%... That will be the day.

      Well they keep nerfing all our aoe for some reason. But single target is getting slightly better, but bye bye to my dot build to bad dots where finally useful now they suck again. I dont get it tho dots are very low dps with 3 dots on the damage doll I do 8k dps, with my spammable alone I do 14k dps. If I get in 3 dots on someone in pvp they should hurt sine it takes me ages to cast them.

      Yea, and Stamina Templar has a perfectly respectable class-stun that can replace Dizzying Swing if they so choose, with Jabs for the spammable. Without further changes, the damage will be downright silly.

      But yeah, thats a lot of dmg now even with the champion point that increase direct damage.
