I have several characters who can solo pretty much every world bosses. Not all characters, and not all bosses, mind you. So, it seems only fair that I lend a hand when someone is fighting them. I wasn't always that strong and appreciated all the help I could get back then, so if I can repay that now, I do.

Now if someone asks me to avoid interfering, well... It all depends on how they ask. "F*** off, I solo it" usually ends up with me certainly not f***ing off at all. "Hey, i'm trying to see if I can solo it, do you mind letting me try ?" means I'll gladly let that person die, should it happen, and then offer a hand if they need it.

    It's really all about courtesy.

I was doing one of those celestial portals in craglorn, where there first will be like 3 waves of mobs to kill and after that a huge boss.

Was struggling abit with killing the boss, at one point another player just walked right through the boss and me while fighting and didnt join in, in my head I was like pleeeeeeeeeeese help me :) werent able to type in chat help me, or I would had died

But he just went away :(

I did beat it, but as many said its a mmo, and in the end I had hoped he would had jumped onboard the fight train, I probably would even had said thanks for helping afterwards

    :(

This helped me understand what I blindly stumbled upon as I went to Craglorn for the first time last week. A few players were struggling with some daedra looking things, so I started to help. The other players were higher levels than I am, but I figured anything I can add is better than nothing. But as soon as the baddies were killed more came. I think it was a portal of waves of enemies as you described.

That got dicey at the end lol. The final boss wave was no joke to my level 27 self.

If someone looks like they're trying to solo a World Boss or Dolmen, should you:

    1) Watch until they've finished. Then wait until it re-spawns.
    2) Watch, and only jump in if they get in trouble.
    3) Just jump in regardless.

    ???

Get in get loot repeat. Maybe you get lucky.

I prefer to solo. If someone jumps in tho, it's fine. No big deal.

I would jump in...always on dolmens and usually on world bosses. The main exception would be if someone is soloing a world boss and has it down to nearly dead while being in no trouble himself. There are players who like to solo WBs. If he is clearly going to do it easily with no help from me, I’d probably just cheer him on.

    Help them out
    steal that node
    take that chest
let them get ganked while you run to the next objective

it's free for all, unless you're a guildmate

If someone is dealing with a mob or boss, don't steal the chest or harvest node next to them. That's not cool.

    Worth repeating.

I would add... If someone is going through their inventory while next to a node or chest, don't steal the chest or harvest node while they're trying to find something to destroy to make room for the goodies that they couldn't pick up but didn't want to leave behind.

Yeah no. Free game as far as I'm concerned.

I'll help them out if they are below CP160, they might not need it but its always nice to chip in, same with me doing world bosses, Yes I can solo them all but I'd still like for someone to jump in and help, even if its just healing me

    I'll always say thanks

I'm the type of guy who will occasionally do the dolmens solo for the fighters guild (and light fun), and always look around to see if anyone's running in before I hit the pinion to finish it. Same with geysers. :)

I generally look at the bars. If it's way out of balance in favor of the WB, then I'll help. If it's the other way, they don't need me. If even, the coin toss says help them.

Soloing doesn't count for anything, except knowing that you can. The WB's respawn fast enough for anyone to get another try if they really wanted to solo, and then you can help them out by running the zone chat to let anyone else wandering by know what they're up to.

Those things are no joke. Wave 1 obliterated me once when I was trying to harvest something I thought was outside their aggro range. I'd run away too-- I'd be worse than zero help to you. :'(

You don't even have to press a button-- last time I was in Craglorn those fully-populated portal things were all over the main roads :D The second time they destroyed me, I was hoofing it at max speed away from them.

    I hate Craglorn :D

hmmmmm, so I'm riding around some zone doing my thing - see someone fighting a world boss and struggling a bit...

okay then...ride up close enough on my mount to get a good view of the fight (without aggroing any hostiles)...wait until they die, get off my mount and give their corpse a hearty guffaw...then, give them a thank you for the show...

mount back up and away we go...
