If I didn't want to use add on's I would have bought the game on console, the add on support was one of the reasons I got the game on PC.

I use quite a few add on's almost all of which are for quality of life, without there functions being added to the base game I would likely cancel my subscription.

I don't even use as many as some people do, I use:

-Master Merchant (keeps track of my sales and the sales in the guilds I am in)
-Lazy Writ Crafter (makes doing daily writs on lots of characters easier)
-Lazy Set Crafter, makes making training gear for people really easy.
-Mail looter (auto loots and deletes mail)
-Lost Treasure (shows treasure map and survey locations)
-Map pins shows various stuff on the map, mostly got it for the rifts in the Psijic quest line and a back up in case Lost Treasure stops working
-Destinations shows various places/quest givers on the map
-Writ worthy for doing master writs
-TTC add on to upload my listings to the Tamriel Trade Center website.
-and various smaller add on's that some of the other ones are dependent on to work.

Slowly getting more when I find ones that I think are useful for me.

This. I play on PS4 and I didn't even know that a lot of PC users used those types of add-ons until I came to this forum. It makes the battles require so much less skill on PC when you use those add-ons. I can't believe people actually use them. Having something tell you all that makes battles way too easy and boring.

Since you obviously have not tried such addons, don't make assumptions about how easy it makes the game. There's indicators when to dodge or purge or whatever in the game regardless of addons. So unless you play without UI, effects and animations, you don't know what you're talking about.

I'm sorry to say there is nothing on console that comes across your screen telling you in 1 2 3 block now in 1 2 3 Dodge now like there is on PC and please tell me that its not true because then I'll point you to a video with your leader of their PC Cruise posted their walkthrough to getting the godslayer title and I called It walked through because they were led by a machine Simply Having to follow Direction

We're don't have those on console. We have to rely on skill, instead of some 3rd party program to make the game playable in difficult content.

No, it doesn't show that text. It shows you something else like yellow or red streaks on the opponent when they're charging some attack you need to dodge or interrupt or something.

Or are you saying that on console you just have to guess when to do things?

You're delirious if you think that the raid notifier addon carries anyone through anything.

    Stop making stupid accusations.

You might want to jump on Console because other than the archers taking aim there's no special animation for them charging up a heavy attack that you have to dodge that gets seen you got to understand what they're getting ready to do and know what to do without some tracker telling you to dodge or block or something of that nature and yes it comes right across the front of your screen like big letters block now for PC do you want me to link the video

nope sorry theres no specific color change of the add/boss or any real outward showing that they are going to do anything you got to watch their movements and learn them to get when to do something nothing extra added to say hey im about to do x
And i dont love that add on i believe it makes an joke out of the game because players use it and walk right though new dlc' within hrs of its drop because all they have to do is update the new information to add on and get pop up directions about every single mechanic when did do this when did you do that how to do this how to do that what you need and what you don't need to have enabling them to be able to go in and complete it because add-on tells you when to do everything

NFW. I have rheumatoid arthritis and a lot of the repetitive movements that are basically busy work would be too much for me, that's number one.

Secondly, sales. You couldn't do fun sales without MM/AGS, et al.

Third, EHT. It has created new avenues of building that expand the joy I have for the game.

if you took these away from me tomorrow, I'd leave. Instantly. And I simply wouldn't have played the game on console, i love ES games on PC too much.

It's also ludicrous to see so many people say they wouldn't play the game at all without add-ons. Seems like you don't like the game at all if that's the case. And that really saddens me. I understand QoL add-ons, I'm all for that. But there are many add-ons that are just plain exploiting and cheating too. What a mess.

those quality of life addons make that much of a difference for a lot of us. people who have never played with addons do love to exaggerate just how much addons "play the game for us". you know which cues I watch out for when in a dungeon? in game ones. there are voice overs that tell you what to do. when you need to block ot interupt or dodge, there is animation around the mob that's in game to indicate that. red circles on the ground are still red circles on the ground.

however... just the thought if having to constantly scroll through my inventory trying to find that one thing on the bottom of the list, because base UI filters are so barebones.. I would only last so long before getting too annoyed. having to open map constantly instead of glancing at a minimap. complete inability to rearrange my bars, change colors, etc. having to keep writing down when my horse leveling cooldown expires (or going to stables to check) instead of just having a handy little timer in the corner of my screen. having to keep an actual RL clock next to me instead of being able to glance at an indicator in game, on my screen. having to set up guild colors on every. single. new. alt. from scratch, because in game Ui doesn't save your settings. same goes for editing keybinds (btw, part of the reason i dislike playing on console if i have PC option is inability to adjust my keybinds)

I can keep going. all of those individual things are very minor annoyances, and taken one at a time, they are not a big deal, but they add up to cumulative dent in overall flow of playing. i don't even want to think how annoying it must have been on console to refine anything or craft multiples of food/drink/potions/poisons before they finally FINALLY added multicraft to base game. same goes for trying to buy anything in a guild store without proper filters or search box you can type keywords into....

its possible to play without. but its the equivalent of having to.. do laundry by hand after you got used to using washer and drier.

Addons are helpers, they make our gaming experience a bit easier. Like remind us to use some abilities, craft stuff for us and so on. They make it easier to keep track on stuff like when a buff will run out etc.

Of course I'd play ESO without addons. Sure the game might be considered a tad more difficult because now we gotta keep track of all the buffs, debuffs, taunts, timers, dots etc on our own. But the game would be pure. :)

Yes, because I play on Xbox and I don't have pop-ups all over my screen telling me when to block/dodge/purge/etc...

Seems like it would take the fun out of the game for me and I'd be as entertained as George Jetson at work pressing the button when it tells me to over and over again. Another reason why I'm not impressed by any YouTube ESO "celebs" videos.

I'm sorry to say there is nothing on console that comes across your screen telling you it 1 2 3 block now in 1 2 3 Dodge now like threads on PC and please tell me that's not true because then I'll point you to a video with your leader of their PC Cruise posted their walkthrough do getting the godslayer title and I called I walked through because they were led by a machine Simply Having to follow Direction

You might want to jump on Console because other than the archers taking aim there's no special animation for them charging up a heavy attack that you have to dodge the get seen you got to understand what they're getting ready to do and know what to do without some track or telling you to dodge or block or something of that nature and yes it comes right across the front of your screen like big letters block now for PC do you want me to link the video

Again with the wall of text. Why can't you use punctuation?

If consoles don't have any indicators to enemies doing things then I feel even more sorry for you. PC does, without addons. No, again I'm not talking about the text you keep bringing up again and again. I'm talking about the base game.

Again, changing the indicator to text won't carry you through trials.

Nope sorry we have to learn the mechanics of the bosses as a come out as there's no indicator that they're going to do this and it needs to be interrupted now there ain't no indication that he's bleeding ready to do this so you might want to block now there ain't no time and it comes up and says you know the dragons getting ready to blow his breath on you so you need to block in 1 2 3 block now

Again, I'm not talking about the addon that you love so much. I'm talking about the base game, which will still give indicators when stuff happens.

Which is honestly just Mindless following a directions

That's what pve is in eso, with or without addons.

Yeah you might say that but I'd have to say it's more so on PC because of add-ons

I play Gamepad UI and use only few add-on's. There would be no reason to stop playing.

I find the games base shield + resource bars unusable.
Same goes for guild stores and inventory management.

It´s very noticeable most of it is designed form over function and/or with controller limitations in mind. Addons fix that. I play on PC bc i don´t want those limitations.

Buddy let's get real I'm not trying to argue but when 3inc letters come up across your screen telling you to block now it takes no skill at all to do something be honest about it man

To be honest, I can't know without trying it that way. It sounds awful, though. I need addons to make stuff straight in my houses, and decorating is a HUGE part of my gameplay, and it might just make me too ill trying to get things lined up doing it all with the crappy default tools.

(voted Yes, no idea why it's not showig in the post)

    I use two and a half add-ons.
The MM I'd miss terribly, but hey, you can still buy/sell without it somehow.
The fishing one is just for fun, could also look into the achievements to see which fish in a zone I still need.
And the Advanced Member Tooltip doesn't work anymore anyways (spits out lots of errors), I only use it as guild officer to see how long people have been with us. Would find alternative ways to get that info.

I like some add-ons, they are really helpful, but I'd keep playing just as much without them.

I rely on my addons to make my game experience easier. Lazy writ crafter is a perfect example of that. I also love my pchat and my mini map and Lui extended. There are others i could play without but there are a few addons that improve my gaming such as sky shards and treasure hunter addons.

No Addons, I'd probably quit. I mainly do a lot of crafting so for me addons are what makes it worthwhile
