Not only no, but hell no. It would be the end of ESO as a Elder Scrolls game, period.

Umm, no. Even as someone who PvPs, no.

As fun as it may be for some, the folks that hate it leave, then they turn the lights off as they shut down the servers for good, and no pvp at all.

Yes if its was optional, and it should not be enabled be default to protect newbies.
But an option to flag yourself for open pvp would be nice.

    As a PVPer? No.

I like my PVP in dedicated PvPvE or PVP zones where I can prepare accordingly and be certain that everyone else in the zone willingly queued up for a PVP enabled zone.

I'd say it more emphatically and crudely if I wouldn't be thrown off the forum for it, so I'll just leave it as Hell No! And being an almost exclusive PvE'er, I'd join all the other players who would leave this game behind in a sec if it ever did happen.

There's only one reason I like the PvP in ESO- it's faction based, aka Army vs Army. I suppose I wouldn't have a problem with having a whole new set of servers with open world PvP. You'd be pretty lonely though is my guess. People don't like being victims. Any time they find themselves in a situation where that can happen, they typically just move on to the next game.

If you want "open world" PvP, aka wide open area where enemies could be anywhere or nowhere, just head to Cyrodiil.

No - I like that PvP is specific only in certain zones and that if you want to PvP in a PvE area that you have to ask for the other person to duel you. I would however like to see another PvP dlc though.

Optional would mean no PvP. PvP must have choke points. Most players would opt out. Those who want to PvP would soon get bored with hiding near a wayshrine hour upon hour hoping that someone that opted into PvP actually shows up.

If PvP were forced on the entire population the servers could be shut down two months later and nobody would notice.

Oh and always happy to get a chance to use this and thanks to Marcus684 for reminding me.

It wouldn't work here because the skill gap is sooo big, unlike a game like wow even as a *** player you can do some spells and run around for a bit before dying, new players would literally die in 1 hit with no chance to learn unless dedicated to research and build properly and play properly. which most people trying the game the first time are not, so they would probably just leave thinking "cheaters imbalanced game" when really they just had no idea what was going on.

so lets keep PvP areas, I think its good. and I consider myself a PvPer. I want to kill people who WANT to fight, not people just want to quest and learn

See subject line. It would be fun to kill newbies all across Tamriel IMO. Waiting for them to timidly venture out to level up while you are hiding behind the trees in anticipation and BAM! Corpseapoloclypse! Kind of like DAoC used to be.Like how Ultima Online was when Rainz slaughtered hundreds of thousands logging in for the first time and as well returning to the game daily and hourly before killing the late great King Britannia.

Fixed for accuracy. all of DAoC and it's duration doesn't even compare to the massive murder house effect that Rainz caused in the UO community.

Also, no, ESO has a well defined separation of PvPvE, PvP and PvE. Also, if you want to kill rando newbs for S&Gs, UO is still online, and rumors have it that the ban on Rainz was lifted in 2017 - so you just might get greeted with a Battle Axe to the face Just like everyone else did back in 1997.

Because you put it so arrogantly I'd say no. You just want to work your epeen out in a very objectively cowardly manner. That's not only silly, it's also shamefully dishonoring.

If you had put it reasonably, say, suggesting a separate full server where everyone that logs in is willing, then I'd agree it could be fun, specially for pvp RPing. Then again, this way you wouldn't be fighting noobs, but actually skilled pvpers for the most part, and I don't think you'd be happy with that, would you?

    Sad.

If it makes you feel better about yourself to gank some unsuspecting victim then you have your event right now in IC.

I think the OP says it all right here. They are looking for soft inexperienced players to attack because going up against someone who is actually prepared for PvP is to much of a challenge.

That pretty much seems to sum up what is desired when someone comes to a PvE game and wants it changed to have open world PvP. Seems they just cannot hang in a real PvP game.
