We have turned guild history back on for the PC/Mac servers and will be monitoring the related game performance. Thanks again for your patience!

Yeah we got Listings, which is pretty cool, but they didnt even think to implement a text search into it?! And we are still relying on addons for simple things like in-roster sales and donations info, and constantly being kicked from the server if we do ranks or notes too fast

(I'm perfectly willing to be corrected; this is my understanding of the turbo change.)
You were hitting Show More when you actively wanted your data; this was load only from you and the handful of other people attempting to do the same thing at the same time. Otherwise, it was the slow dribble of info we were permitted.
The change meant that MM was effectively hitting the Show More button... for everyone, including the folks who previously weren't actively requesting data via Show More. That's increased load. Also, considering there have likely been gaps in the data from the bottlenecking, I can see how MM may have been attempting to catch up on lost sales from the past 10 days.
Again, my speculation on what happened.

I was gone for 4 days over Labor Day and had to hit E to get all that sales data... and that took multiple days. Mind you I actually played the game during this time which is what I am supposed to be doing, not sitting around hitting E to get sales data all the time. ZOS has shown it won't fix their spaghetti code, feedback means nothing. Obviously MM is a huge problem which is why console players have a swimmingly good time with no lag, no disconnects, nary an error... right? Oh wait... they have all the problems of PC yet no addons... so what is THAT excuse? ZOS has their boogyman now, they can wield the data ban hammer at will.

All that really needs to be said about the difference is that it is MM hitting E!
This is a limitation that ZOS has placed on the API allowed to add-ons. MM was deliberately going around that restriction. Some of the other stuff that is limited or blocked are, but not limited to:
Buying and gifting crown items
Getting your email
Walking
Using skills
Sending items or gold in mails, and more
If ZOS did not react to this exploit, it would set a very bad, and very dangerous precedent. There is an element of trust that ZOS shows in add-ons, and breaking that trust can have consequences for everyone. I don't blame Sylvie and Philgo for coming out the with turbo mode, and they did place some good restrictions on it. But there should still be no surprise that ZOS has reacted to the use of what is an exploit.

And again, when E becomes too much then what? So you are comparing this data with walking and checking email.. yeah, you got issues. You don't see a problem, I get it. Everything is fine.
Every single week. The "Show More" option has disappeared again too. Personally, this game is getting very close to the level of just not worth it.
“Addon-related” yeah f’ing right
It’s their servers and they know it. Only the most gullible sheep would believe it’s addons that makes performance so terrible in this game

Have the same problem. The "show more" option in "sales" is not showing for me. For 2 friends I asked about it it shows for them. Very strange and annoying -.-
sorry, I did not login the game. I am just reading forums and trying to understand..
you are telling me that any add-on creater with good number of users can able to reduce the performance?
what kind of product is this? :d hahah
if this game was 6 months old then I can accept the handshake between addon creators and zos. and I would support this.
but now? No way. sorry Zos is lack of giving trust. Look at last 1 month when it comes to guild issues.

Group Finder broken for years; No basic Guild tools that games a decade older than ESO provide and what seems like almost weekly harassment of GM's who attempt to run their guilds with the very basic historic info provided by turning off Guild History. Shameful.
Indeed. This isn't really a hard technical problem. I'm sure it could have been solved many times over by now if a single person with the proper expertise were assigned the problem.Seriously, how the hell ZOS implemented guild history if looking at older pages causes any performance problem?? Guild history is history from the past, never gonna change it's fully static. You generate it once when happens, and then just serve the static data in fraction of seconds when anyone asked for it...

Without Raffles we only have auctions to raise money for guilds and Raffles really are the best way to do this. Some guilds actually collect the donations on a spreadsheet and randomize the result but that is a really tedious way to do something that RaffleGold automated. Since RaffleGold is not working, what are you all doing to run raffles and raise money? Traders cost more since multiple bids were implemented and I need to start breaking even at some point.
